The Liston quitter rep is sham logic applied very unevenly across the champions of the sport.

Hell, Ali quit against Holmes so he must be sh*te, I guess.

Grandson? For some reason I had the impression you were a young guy, around twenty-five.

There are a number of reasons some of which are silly. I have personally experienced having threads "disappeared" without any notification or explanation just to look and see it was no longer there. I later learned that it had been deleted by a moderator because he felt the thread was inappropriate because it asked how old you were when you watched your first major fight and which fight it was. Again, no indication that this violated a forum rule.
It apparently was deemed inappropriate by a "chin checker" moderator who is arbitrary and enjoys welding power.
I doubt he has posted anything interesting or thought provoking whereas Perry through his bluster has interesting to relay.
Perhaps communists aren't the best choices to moderate in a marketplace of ideas. Historically they don't play well with free speech.
Bottomline, he may not have even had any idea he was committing a "speech crime", it was simply a case of the right word going in the wrong ear.

Well, both totalitarian censors and markets are horrible ways to filter out bad ideas and ensure the spread of good ones.
In totalitarian societies, you may be forbidden outright from reading certain material, but everyone with three functioning neurons knows the official line is bull**** and seeks out underground sources.

In "free market" societies no one will stop you by threat of force from seeking out anything short of child porn or military secrets, but you have to go far outside the corporate controlled mainstream to find anything of substance, and most the propaganda is aimed at preventing you from becoming curious or interested in the first place.

I don't have to ask if you've ever heard the terms "Bremmer rules" or "Russell tribunal" on American television because I know you haven't.

Lol, we are talking about a boxing form. I don't think Perry was booted for anything to do with child porn or military secrets.

I don't watch much tv but I will take your word for it. You seem a bit angry or frustrated perhaps if you are looking for information or want to discuss Bremmer rules American tv or a boxing forum isn't the best place to look.

Yeah, you're right of course but I just can't resist sometimes. It was the reference to communists and the so-called marketplace of ideas that got me going.
