its ****ing ridiculous the amount of idiots who jump on a fighter as soon as he quits, while knowing nothing of the extent of things

remind me of a bunch of tabloid reading thick sheep

    ****ing idiots

nate campbell has a warriors heart and would never have wanted to quit

Nate quit because if he would of continued he could of loss vision in his eye for the rest of his life.

Are seriously that thick headed or just like being stupid for fun?

He wanted out for what? Dealing with a cut that was not the worst of his career? Being behind the cards?

Come on man. Use that supposed college degree of yours to use.

Neither did the doctor, all he had to go by was that Nate was seeing "spots". A detached retina has the same symptoms and you can't question the severity of that, it is a medical emergency and can lead to blindness, so why risk it?

The doctor needed further assessment, he did the right thing in stopping the fight.

Watch out, you need to have taken medical classes in order for Lance to believe you. Because if you haven't, what you say is not true.

EDIT - The doctor went off of what Nate said but later checked his eye and told him he had the blood behind the eye.

Its obvious from thepre fight instructions that the ref had it in for Nate from the get go
Whether it was intentional or incompetance the referee screwed up.
The fight should be declared a no contest and an immediate rematch ordered

Campbell stopped at the right time then, there's no reason to continue getting further punishment when you know you're done, and also that it was a headbutt anyways.

Why are people still arguing this? When the doctor first examined Campbell he stopped the fight as soon as Campbell told him he was seeing spots, then after he got Nate's attention again a minute later he had another look & wanted to get the eye examined. The mic didn't pick up much the second time but it was reported the doctor saw blood "behind" the eye. Certain posters swear the doctor didn't see any blood when they haven't a clue either way .

There was always a possibility Nate was lying, but the latest news proves he wasn't.

i'd get a second opinion. the emergency room doctor is just jacking up Nate's medical bill.

I agree with you, nate did the right thing.... if he had quit from the cut it would have been lame, but trying to save your actual vision is another, nate isnt a doctor and probably didnt know wtf was going on, he just knew something about his eyeball was ****ed up and didnt want to be blind in his eye for the rest of his life....

kirk, you're one of my favorites, so I'll waste your time for a second. If Campbell was telling the truth, then I would agree that he did the right thing as well. Just understand that what we're saying here is that you automatically believe he didn't bail out of that fight to try and get a No Contest and believe everything Campbell has claimed, and I'm saying he bailed out of that fight to try and get a No Contest and he exaggerated his situation to try and get it, tactically. These conversations are carried over from another thread, and eze took a trolliping from an angry mob because of how he presented his side. I want to clear that up for myself as much as you, because there are smart people on both sides of this, and I don't think any of us need to lose respect for one another. I can't see how you guys have it the way you do either. Believe me. One minute Campbell is acting like Robert DeNiro in one of his villain roles grabbing his trainer telling him to "STOP THE ROUND!," the next minute he's this innocent puppy who's blind in one eye, then he's instantly Robert DeNiro again gliding his way across the ring to argue with anyone in sight showing 20-20 navigation capability dipping through the crowd looking at the scoreboard. We'll get to the bottom of this, and our side won't be embarrassed. You can trust me on that.
