[mp3]http://www.blogtalkradio.com/OnTheGrind/2009/03/02/Ep-44.mp3[/mp3] Nate comes on at the 1hr and 42 minute mark...
I like Campbell, but he needs to shut up and realize that he vacated his title to JMM (who also happens to be a much better fighter).
JMM needs a mid-year fight, and since Pac and Hatton already have a date, JMM v. Campbell at 140 would be quite a good scrap.
I don't believe so. I think Campbell had one great night against Juan Diaz, but other than that he has shown to be vulnerable against the likes of Peden and Funeka. JMM is a different class of fighter, he'd just have to be careful of Nate's power and he should box his ears off.
i oftenfind myself agreeing with nate when he says random studd but to take away jmm's victory is preposterous. he didnt make weight and should quit blabbering about the belts he lost.
This would be a great fight and prove JMM's greatness. If JMM could beat Campbell this year, put him in for Fighter of the Year.
If Marquez wants to move up in weight ... what a perfect opponent in Nate Campbell. Get nate a title shot ... and make the fight between the two for later on this year ... Marquez has a chance to do something that the great Mexican never was able to do ... become a 4-division champion ... Barrera and Morales were both 1 weight class short. Marquez can have his name above theirs with another title at a different weight class. Featherweight, super featherweight, and lightweight champion ...
He could, and I'd probably favor JMM myself...but Nate's hungry desperation and deep bag of tricks/intangibles could make it a very, very difficult night for Marquez. It would be the most impressive and creditable win of Juan's career north of super feather, and that's saying something since Casa and Diaz are already very good wins.
make the fight its must at 140.jmm should give up the belts and go to 140 with pac and hatton.and either beat up on judah or bang it out with nate cambell !
Campbell talks too much and hasn't really done much. I really have a hard time believing that fighters are avoiding him but only time will tell how good he'll do against the top dogs at 140.
