Nate Cambell whupped Juan's ass. I don't know what you were watching, but he banged the **** out of Juan's body, and used angles that made Juan almost completely ineffective. And it was a punch that caused the cut on Juan, not dirty tactics, yet the ref was on Juan's side and gave him a timeout.

Well, I think the topic is way too complicated for Nate to have been able to go into great detail about in that setting. But in theory, its true. Since Tyson, and MAYBE the 90's Roy Jones, what black fighter has really gotten widespread acclaim? There really isnt one. Mayweather isnt revered on a big scale. He will always be the "b" side. But is it about race itself, or is that just coincedence? Is it the black fan base becoming smaller than other fan bases? Are there just no really good black fighters anymore? Is it because the majority of black fighters are labeled as "defensive cuties" who stink up the place ala Spinks, Hopkins, Williams, Mayweather, etc.? Is it bacause the majority of Latino fighters have a more tv-friendly style? Is it because fewer blacks are becoming fighters and more are entering other sports (football, basketball) instead? Is it because more and more inner city gyms are closing and participation in the amateurs is declining? Is it because the networks have shifted their focus more to Latino and Caucasian fighters? Would Hopkins and Mosley be getting on HBO if not for their relationship with Golden Boy? These are all legitimate questions. And Nate's point isnt that black fighters are being discriminated against because they are black, but more a question of why is it that the things I noted above about black fighters is happening? Why are black fighters no longer as prominent as they once were? Believe me, Nate and I have discussed these topics for hours at a time. He doesnt think for one second that its just because they are black.
Also because he's an arrogant little fool. But yeah, the OP has a terrible and obvious case of selective perception.
Get the **** out of here with that bull****. What I saw was an experienced fighter wear down a young fighter with skill and determination. It absolutely had nothing to do with "dirty ass tricks". Juan was a dejected fighter by the end of the fight. Nate won fair and square. Man, you are one biased poster:-(
Well I don't agree with 100% of everything he is saying, but I do think in general the tone of what he is saying is true, if you understand what I'm saying. I think in the current marketplace, fans really try to obsessively pick apart black fighters and find reasons not to give them praise or their proper due. I mean case and point, Katsidis and Gatti. There are subpar boxers yet fans praise and laud them while you here nothing but negative things about fighters who show the same heart, such as Forrest, Jermaine Taylor, and etc. I do not think the situation or the climate is caused by a lack of black fans either. I also want to say in no way am I saying blacks never like non-black fighters, mexicans never like non-mexican fighters, and etc.
Thank you. So from what he is saying no one gave Tyson any respect either. Pure racist nonsense. I got know respect for this guy. He is not in the same class as JMM, MAB, Pac, and EM!
Yeah but first he gets KTFO by the next good fighter he fights just like with Peden and in that dream he beats all 4 of them
More likely they all beat him. MAB beat the **** outta of Peden. Nate got knocked the f out by Peden.
Tell'em to keep tras talking, that's how you get respect these days, just ask Haye :rofl :rofl ,Oh yeah and don't forget to tell'em 1 year layoff so he can talk smack all he can
