He got 600,000 I believe for the first fight. That is a shame that they reduced that offer. The fact that Nate might be cut out is a travesty to the sport. Marquez and Nate is the fight to be made. If Marquez turns into a business man, that is going to disappoint me tremendously. Nate is entitled not only to a pay day, but a chance to redeem himself even though he did that but, show the world he is the best lightweight. If he is good enough, I hope one day he can look back and laugh at all who laughed at him just as Hopkins did.
I do remember reading that a few months back, and how it messed up some other fights but i didnt believe it.
Then HBO should do that to Marquez and other Golden Boy fighters so we can see these fights with Nate.
dude where do you find this ****? Even the "average homeboy" is better than this guy, check out avg homeboys cadillac song.
The thing I love most about Nate is that he isnt caught up in the money chase. His standard of living is already 1000 times better than he would ever have imagined, considering his upbringing. And people justify crap like Pac vs Oscar saying "they should get paid", and blah, blah, blah. We're talking about guys who are already multi millionaires. Oscar should be fighting Margo or Williams, and Pac should be fighting JMM or Nate. They already have enough money. They should be fighting fights that actually matter, instead of these cash-grabs.
nobody in the nate cambell camp is getting well paid yet.....:deal :deal :deal he aint even broke a mill yet
Do you think Nate will ever give Humberto Soto a shot at his belts? I feel sorry for him the way Cortez screwed him over in his last fight. :thumbsup
Him and I were friends long before I started representing him. I started representing him after he got a release from Dibella after the 2nd Peden fight. And as of yet, I havent made a dime. I'm probably a hundred grand in the hole. But I made my money in real estate, so I dont really care much about making money in boxing. That actually frees us up to try and do what is right, rather than just what makes the most money. Different strokes for different folks. You can play the *** "man-crush" card all you want. That actually says alot more about your mindset than it does mine.
