Maybe. Guzman should have owned Campbell, stylistically. I've never seen Moses, but he barely edged by Kobori, who I have seen and who is nothing special at all. Then again, fight was in Japan, and one judge had the scorecard wide. Campbell was a bigger name and a known good stylistic matchup, plus Guzman lost a big payday. Moses is a wild card. I really doubt Joan was 'ducking' Nate there.

Moses dominated Kobori on one card, and I was told that he looked very impressive. A lanky, tireless sort of fighter. If Isaac Hlatshwayo outworked and wore down the new improved lightweight Campbell, Moses will be a similar threat (indeed, Funeka looks to be this type of threat also).

Shame that Campbell couldn't have kept his WBA title, but then again the WBA would have kept Campbell (super champ) and Moses (regular champ) apart.

Guzman isn't fighting for the title in his next fight. Hopefully Moses will fight Yuri Romanov in what would be a superb fight.

The WBA is junk/trash, I would like to see Nate fight JMM for the RING belt.

dont get me wrong, joan shines beautifully off B- to C class opponents but the truth of the matter is that he hasnt ko'd anybody since moving up from 122.

i predicted nate stalking guzman and bringing the fight to him. and with the additional weight along with bigger oppostion i doubted that joan had enough pop for nate to respect him. it would have been a back pedaling nite for joan.

anyway, its one thing that joan couldnt make weight for the biggest fight of his career in which many boxing fans worldwide were highly antisipating... and its another when nate still agreed to fight him and joan still "ducked out."

What did I say that implied I thought Guzman would KO Campbell? He probably doesn't even have enough power to keep Campbell off of him, but that wouldn't matter since he'd be running and potshotting all night.

nothing. i just stated my prediction with reasons 'why'.

size would play a major role esp when joan cant keep nate off him.

and i dont see running & potshotting winning a title fight esp nate being the champion. idealy, you gotta fight take the title away.

Anymore, I do not consider the WBA Title as anything but a trophy. It is on the level of an IBC or an NBA Title.

How much longer does Nate plan to fight? Looks like after Funeka, Barrera, JMM/Diaz, and Guzman (who most likely picks up WBA) in 09/10. I would like to see him fight Judah if he can't get Pacman for big event fight.

We've discussed it before, and realistically he could probably fight another 3 years or so. Basically until he doesnt feel like doing it anymore. We are looking at Funeka, then hopefully the Diaz-Marquez winner, then Barrera, then maybe another fight or 2 at lightweight (Valero, Khan, Peterson or Katsidis maybe? Guzman is not in the discussion, **** him), and then finish up at 140 against whoever is there at that time. 147 wouldnt be out of the question, but it would have to be a pretty significant fight.
