hmm... so jmm's next fight is 8 months after his last one w/ pac? i guess he's content on getting just two fights a year now.

if he could've scheduled this fight a lot earlier such as july or august, then a third fight w/ pac (if jmm wins vs. campbell) would've been more probable to happen sometime at the end of the year.

with this very late scheduling of the fight w/ campbell, jmm has no one to blame but himself and his GBP team for not being able to possibly fight pac again this year. i guess both him and campbell are out of the pac's radar for the rest of this year. pac may have to fight the winner of casa/diaz instead that is if he wins vs. d. diaz and the fight w/ hatton doesn't materialize.

Juan Manuel Marquez is anything but content. He feels he won both of his career defining fights, and nobody could deny he has a case.

A fighter of Marquez quality will not be held back by judges alone though. If Campbell takes on Marquez, he will lose. Juan Diaz is a good fighter, probably one who deserves to be in the elite level, but Marquez is p4p one of the best fighters in the world right now. We could be talking about him being #2 if both Manny fights were given to him. Great technical fighter with a hell of a right hand.

Lesser fighters than Marquez have defeated Campbell.

.....and JMM utterly distroyed Robbie Peden, having him vomiting blood and thus quitting on his stool!

You've got to be kidding us..... Campbell beat the pressure fighting Diaz at his own game by meeting him dead on and taking it to him.

....Campbell would have to do the same to JMM is he is to have even a chance to be competitive in the fight.

If its Campbell trying to box, Marquez is going to take him to school!

....look at what happened to Pac, Pac was sucessful in boxing MAB, but once he tried the same tricks on JMM, he was taken apart, and Pac had to revert to applying soley the pressure in order to stay competitive.

marquez was one of the finest boxer that is active today but pac did box marquez for twelve rounds and its not a shut-out as what as you are implying. and what pressure? both the biggest punches that pac landed (3rd and 10th round) was a product of pac evading a marquez attack by sidestepping and weaving.

with that said, i agree that campbell must pull-out another juan diaz type of performance if he wants a fight with marquez to be some kind of competitive.

Nate Campbell deserves credit for his title win, and he's got the balls of a brass ******, but Marquez is too skillfull for him and will counter and slick his way to unanimous decision. By the way, it has nothing to do with the thread, but this fight, like all title and championship fights should be for 15 and not 12.

Campbell would stop Marquez, easily. This is not 1 dimensional Pacqauio here, if Campbell shows up he's a top class fighter and larger than Marquez with good speed and defence, not to mention the styles advantage.

Campbell TKO 8, he's cracked harder jaws than JMM. We must remember, JMM's a natural featherweight.

Had just read somewhere that Marco Barrera wants the winner of Campbell/Marquez if the fight does happen.. Campbell would kill Barrera at this point..

Why doesn't Campbell vacate the WBO belt? Its only trouble for him at this point and he has to pay extra sanctioning fee...

By the way, Marquez UD in a close, tactical mastery.

The only advantage campell has is that he hits harder and is bigger. Marquez counters will cut his work rate and barring a heavy punch getting through would lead him to a UD
