I just read on ESPN.com that Representatives of Paul Malignaggi, Juan Urango, and Zab Judah(?) have contacted Nate Campbell's managment about a possible fight.

Personally I think that Campbell beats all three of those guys ... and he would be better of fighting off waiting for the Pacquiao v Hatton winner or loser.

Those guys don't offer him much financially and for the exception of Urango ... those guys aren't much to watch.

How do you think Campbell would do against those 3?

Who do you favor Nate Campbell over in the 140 lb division?

My gut tells me that Nate probably won't ever get a chance at Pac or Hatton and thus he should go after the next biggest name at 140 which would be Zab. If Zab can't get down to 140 then Nate should try to fight Urango, Holt, or Bradley for a belt. I'd favor Nate over everyone at 140 with the exception of Pac which I see as a very tough fight to analyze.

The loser of the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight doesn't have many options as far as big name opponents. Neither of those guys will have much of a run at welterweight ... they could give it a shot, but I doubt they either could be on the elite level of the division and if they do they won't stay that long because there are much bigger guys there - who are fast and strong.

For Hatton going down in weight isn't an option ... going up in weight isn't an option either ... it would just be his first loss in that division - and it wouldn't be that hard for him to get another strap in that division.

Pacquiao can fight JMM at lightweight ... but other than JMM there aren't too many other fighters he can fight (maybe Valero)

Campbell will be able to get a fight with both of those guys ... he has a good name ... he's a former champion ... he's on a win streak ... and he's hot right now. Those are some qualities that big named fighters are looking for especially someone coming off a loss or a big win and has nowhere to go.

Simply untrue. His stocks just drop a notch or two.

im not sure with the urango fight..based on their last fight, urango clearly takes it UD. but if they fight. my money would be on nate as he would be more prepared and better conditioned compared to his funeka fight...

He's been on HBO against Diaz and Funeka and won both fights ... his stock hasn't dropped at all ...

Like he said after the Funeka fight ... he's going to be in high demand in the junior welterweight division ... those guys think he's done and that he's an easy target but i'm sure thats all going to be in his advantage.

You find more fighters calling him out than anyone ...

I also seen on ESPN.com that Malignaggi, Urango, and Judah's handlers are making contact with Campbell's team to schedule a fight.

I'm confident that he will either get the winner or the loser of the Pacquiao v Hatton fight.

Nope . He wont be getting hatton or pac. What does fighting nate do for your legacy? specially pacs, hes been accused of fighting shot fighters along time fighting naste would only add fuel to the fire.
As far as hatton same reason, wyho the **** is nate? hes a good lightweight, burt he isnt a good name. if he wins spectacularly agains Zabv or torres an argument can be made, but now, NO.

No one fights for legacy ... not even the old timers ... legacy only matters to the fans and the media ...

Pacquiao's legacy is set ... he can fight whoever he wants ...

Both of these guys can fight whoever they want and make it a big event.

Its all about who can make you the most money ... and with his name and how hot he is right now ... he can make both guys alot of money.

There isn't anyone else out there for them to fight and make a nice amount of money.

Manny can fight JMM ... but i'm not sure if his promotional company wants any parts of that.

Hatton isn't going to fight any top welterweights and is really praying on a PBF fight if and when he wins.

    So is Pacquiao ...

3 names surface involving both of those fighters ... JMM, Mayweather, and Campbell.

The junior welter division is shitty ... the names out there aren't that big ... they don't produce rememberable fights ... they're competing with the lightweight and welterweight division ... the big money fighters are in the welterweight and the lightweight division(s)

A campbell win over Zab and Torres won't do much for him ... those guys are entertaining in their own right but they don't have that big of a name in the sport or in the division outside of hardcore fans ... they haven't been featured on HBO or showtime headlining venues ...

Zab has been on a losing streak losing to Baldomir, Mayweather, Cotto, and Clottey .... in his last 6 fights ... he's 1-4 1NC

Malignaggi was just stopped by Hatton and isn't a big money maker !

I get what you mean. Nate bringing the money? naaah. i really dont think he has a solid fanbase as of the moment. Nates a standup guy the most part, Does he deserve a payday sure he does,if pac wins he goes to fight cotto at 147 if Pbf doesnt comeback. About hatton if he wins PBF oscar, Witter would probalyu be made befor hatton.
I think Pac and Ricky are after legacy fights that brings in the money. Nate doesnt bring anything at the table yet.

You don't need a solid fan base when you're fighting an elite fighter ... Shane Mosley doesn't have a solid fan base yet he's faced elite fighters in big crowds ... in his home state against Margarito ... he got booed ... he couldn't fill a venue - after his DLH win he had 2500 spectators total at the fight.

Campbell is good on the road ... he can fight in Cali ... or in England ... playing the villian and increasing the demand for the fight and the demand for a victory from their favorite fighter.

You don't need two guys with a big fan base ... Pacquiao or Hatton bring more than enough fans to the table ... all campbell has to do is play his part and collect a paycheck.

Why not judah though? Why nate if somebody just needs to play the villain? He is old, he just jump to JWW after being stripped,Gone to fight a championship mmatch overweight, Very closed fight with Funeka? i just dont see the pros of choosing nate.

if you're a champion and you don't lose your titles in a fight then you're in line to fight for a championship if you move up in weight.
