Nate Campbell was unreal. Juan Diaz should not be underrated because of this.

Campbell was Bombarded twice by Peden. That's a war!!! A 36 yr old Grandpa beating a Prime Diaz??? Diaz is just an overhyped fighter.

Juan Diaz will become a greater fighter of the loss. He has that will. Its a setback in his career but things like this happen. Last night the Baby Bull proved to me why he is a special type of figther.

What was so special about him last night? Am I missing something here? He was thoroughly pummeled last night. I'm not saying he's a bum or anything, but he hardly looked special. Personally, I think he needs to give up this school **** and concentrate on boxing. The guy is 24 and still hasn't graduated.

 

What if he ends up like Tyson and is out of his prime at 24?

 

I think Diaz will bounce back and be in the hunt for a title once his eye heals. He has nothing to be ashamed of ... he fought a good fight and did what he could despite being handicapped during the fight.

I don't think Diaz would ever be able to beat Campbell, Nate showed that he has the baby bull's number. I think in a rematch Campbell wins by UD or even knocks him out. Diaz has no power and knows that he can't break down Campbell like he did those other guys.

 

Nate came in with one of the best gameplans I've seen in recent memory. It started with him coming to the ring in a matador outfit to let Diaz know he was the hard old man and he wouldn't let this kid beat him and he was going to slay the bull. He quickly jumped on Diaz from the opening bell and during and after rounds taunted and intimadated Diaz throughout the fight, which was key because Diaz is used to being the bully in the ring. Before the fight I thought Nate's only chance would be to box Diaz from a distance but he beat Diaz at his own game outworking him and like the savvy vet he is, he kept putting his shoulder and head in that cut every chance he got. Campbell fought an absolutely brilliant fight last night and executed his gameplan to perfection. Props to Diaz though he showed tremendous heart and has nothing to be ashamed of he'll be a force for years at 135.

 

Nate even said He will Kill Diaz's Body and yet Diaz didn't have a Plan B for the body attack. Diaz was exposed, His next opponents will get to jelly belly again.

 

I left out the body work that Nate did in my post it was an important factor as well. Nate was brilliant last night.

 

His next opponents most likely will not have the ability to take the punishment Campbell did to get to his body AND be able to keep up the output. If everyone could do it, it would have already been done.

Losing doesn't expose you. Everyone had already mentioned this was a question mark over Diaz, just no one had been able to exploit it. If losing exposes you, then nearly every fighter is overrated and exposed.

We will see on the rematch if Diaz can adjust. We will see if Diaz can do what Pac was able to do with the morales' rematches. Diaz should. He has an easier task against a grandpa.

 

I totally agree, Campbell faught like a man possessed.
Time will tell if he can come anywhere near that again, maybe he can pull a B-Hop and have a very good run as he gets older.

One question I have for Diaz is how well is he going to rebound, that was a serious beating he took, can he be the same fighter again?

 

This is why I doubt your ability to understand boxing. Campbell isn't old "in ring". We all know this, everyone knew this coming in. It was mentioned often, by myself and others. Morales was older "in ring" than Campbell is because of his style and the wars he had been in. Look at the difference in fights they have had....Morales had how many fights by age 31? Now how many for Campbell? So Campbell is not a grandpa in the ring. (Perhaps in the literal sense, but you didn't mean it that way)
