bradley won evry round i tought campbell was looking for a way out he knew he was not going to win bradley was very determinated to win
Yeah but Cotto and Taylor are 2 guys that are known for fading down the stretch. Bradley is the complete opposite, I have never seen him tired in a fight.
you missed my point. I wasn't shooting for the "tired down the stretch" bit just saying that both examples had one fighter winning the early rounds, and in control when the tide of the fight changed who's saying that the tide of this fight couldn't change? Yes Bradley looked to be in control and was keeping a good workrate up but the fight only went three rounds.
Thread title made me do a double take, because anyone calling John David Jackson an idiot has to be out of their damned mind. He wasn't the chief second last night?
i mean a cut like that doesn't help in a fight. I can understand where Campbell is coming from aiming for the stoppage. That was a make or break fight for him and he doesn't want to put his career on the line with a handicap. However, I think that once the doctor said "Not the cut, can you see out of your eye" and then Nate answered "I see spots" then it had to be a TKO The ref bottled it anyways. When a fighter gets cut, if its an accidental headbutt then the ref should stop the action right away and clearly indicate his ruling. And at that point the fighter can say "I can't see" and the ref can call time and have the doctor inspect him right away. If the ref thinks it was a punch then as soon as there's a lull in the action or a break the ref should clearly indicate that the cut was caused by a punch so taht there is no confusion.
I am disappointed with Nate,i thought he was a warrior, but seeing his reactions and the way he lied about his vision made me feel bad i liked him so much. He was clearly seeing verry well to chase the ref and Bradley in the ring after the inncident.
I never knew you were a Brit? Or has it just rubbed off? I don't see how that wasn't immediately ruled a cut caused by a butt. Nate was getting hustled pretty well but was holding his own, then he suddenly backs straight into a corner holding his eyebrow after no punch had been thrown. I mean, come on. That was politics and nothing else.
1. Bradley wasn't dominating. He was of coarse winning the rounds on work rate but most of his punches weren't landing clean. The flurries just looked good on tv and to the crowd. 2. The cut wasn't the deterring element. It was the fact that Campbell saw spots in his vision which is a symptom of a detached retina. And I'm sure Nate was thinking at that moment about getting another payday.-( 3. Nate yelled at he trainer that he couldn't see and to have the fight stopped. How is his trainer suppose to know that Nate's vision was impeded with spots. His trainer was clearly going by the sustained cut not knowing that his guy was suffering from a far more serious ailment.
Campbell was cheated by the damned referee! If I were Campbell I would be angry as Hell! The video shows that the referee is a liar. Instant replay in football and should be allowed in boxing. All the hate for Campbell after all the good fights he has provided the fans yet so many cut him down for wanting to be treated fairly.
Exactly and the rematch will be the same Bradley is just to fast and active for Campbell at this point in his career.
he dominated 3 f'n rounds. last time I heard, there was 12 rounds in a championship boxing match. Nate wasn't fazed at all by those punches. We will never know who would have won but we know who quit. And the trainer is not dumb. And that ringside doctor was stupid. They are there for a free fight and to protect the athletic commisions asses should someone die. People pay someone to ask, "Can you see?" without doing a freakin' real eye exam like they do at an optometrist. Ridiculous.
