Haven't seen Uzelkov in action so I'm not going to slate the fight, interesting that he knocked out Campillo in 6 5 years ago, although Campillo was only 12 fights into his career, he also knocked down Shumenov on route to losing a wide decision, so maybe he can punch a bit?

The worrying thing is he's 33 years old and struggled against an average fighter last time out (according to Boxrec)

Shumenov beat him with very little hassle.

Campillo victory is impressive, but he probably lost his last fight (haven't seen it but MD at home tells something). Does look to have decent punch but that is it. He is better than Simcic but it is still a terrible fight

Can someone tell me why Chad Dawson wasn't offered the fight? It seems Bad Chad is desperate to fight Nathan. He obviously has nothing better to do.

What is Jean Pascal up to?

Frank and Nathan clearly know his limitations, if he puts Nathan in with any of the top 3 or 4 he will be soundly beaten IMO.

Here's Frankys latest Sun article claiming Froch turned down a 'huge purse' to fight Cleverly

AFTER amazing Olympic successes for the amateurs, the professionals are back.

Britain’s three world champions — Nathan Cleverly, Carl Froch and Ricky Burns — are in action over the next couple of months.

Cleverly’s next defence of the WBO world light-heavyweight title will be announced on Monday.

It’s proved tough making a match for the young unbeaten Welshman with a number of high-profile fights falling through for various reasons.

The main target was American great Bernard Hopkins but after I agreed terms with his promoter Golden Boy, he pulled out. We’ll look to resurrect the fight next year.

IBF world supermiddleweight champion Froch turned down a huge purse to step up a division to take on Cleverly.

Froch is to defend against American Yusef Mack on November 17 in Nottingham.

Although Mack’s been around a long time, at 32, he’s three years younger than Froch.

September’s highlight will be Ricky Burns against Kevin Mitchell in Glasgow, It is shaping up to be one of the best all-British world title fights for years.

Froch’s fight will be on Sky, who have agreed a new two-year deal with Matchroom.

Cleverly, Burns and Mitchell are on the fight-dedicated subscription channel BoxNation.

Despite the BBC’s excellent Olympic coverage they’ve buried their heads in the sand with the professionals.

The only terrestrial network with a foot-in is Channel Five, who cover heavyweight Tyson Fury’s fights.

There’s also a rumour that a possible Ricky Hatton comeback could be on ITV.

Boxing has had to evolve over the years and even more so in the present TV climate.

Even Don King, at 81, is looking to evolve and break new ground by putting on a boxing-music extravaganza in North Korea.
