Nathan Cleverley- How is he still WBO champion?

    Nathan Cleverley and his team have been hand picking opponents since winning the WBO strap. He is not fighting mandatory challengers. when he arranged to fight Tommy Karpency, the WBO said they would strip him of the title if he fought Tommy Karpency and not the mandatory challenger. After a meeting between WBO and Frank ******, Cleveryley fough Karpency and was not stripped. Next month Cleverley will fight Vyacheslav Uzelkov instead of his mandatory challenger. When will Cleverley be stripped, he is a talented fighter but he should not be allowed to get away with hand-picking opponents, he won the belt 18 months ago and has yet to fight a mandatory. Robin Krasniqi has earned his shot and should get it, he has made it clear that he wants to fight Cleverley.

    Do you guys think Cleverley should be stripped?

    Because the WBO is as bad as the other sanctioning bodies.

    Who is Nathan Cleverly's mandatory?

    Krasniqi is ranked #1, there was a massive backlash when Cleverly signed to fight him before,

    I dont, because I want to see him in a competitive fight. I like Cleverley , its just he's in a very weak division.

    If he deserves to lose it for cherry picking then I don't think ward has much claim to his title

    Dmitriy Sukhotsky lost his last fight (mandatory when Cleverley fought Karpency)
    Robin Krasniqi is now mandatory.
    Vyacheslav Uzelkov (Cleverley's next opponent) is ranked #7 by WBO.

    For all of Khan's faults, he was a champion to be proud of, he fought against the best yet he receives so much criticism. Carl Froch fights against the best Cleverley chooses to fight the rest. I am British by the way.

    Wards been in with the best in his division so you can't really hold his level of competition against him. His reluctance to leave his own backyard and dull as **** style on the other hand...

    The more you post the more you embarrass yourself.

    Ward was locked into a tournament where his opponents were selected for him by process of elimination. When that was over he accepted a challenge made to him by a world champion.

    Put a few seconds thought into what you are going to type in future.

    True Ward has fought the best, but he has also had some joke fights, the dawson one will be seen as one now and rightly so. Everyone knew Dawson was f*cked the moment he agreed to come down to 168. I just didn't think we'd see an episode of shattered glass
