I don't think he has, okay he has won 37 fights in a row, but they are pretty much all bums.

I suspect the reason he doesn't have to make a mandatory defense is because their rankings are that poor, and suggesting he should be stripped is pretty unfair, I doubt he makes the ranking that poor.

 

Clev's never beat a champion for a belt, they've always been vacant, b&c, euro, wbo

Tony Bellew is/was there readily available and will go to Wales to do the fight, did u see there 1st fight ?

Bellew aside there is a host of guys at the weight who would truly test Nathan in every department

Back on thread topic, yes i think he should be stripped, his opponents are nothing other than pocket fillers for a team and a promoter who's reputation are in tatters, it shouldnt be allowed !, they are using Nathan and his world title to keep there company above the water

LHW isnt a great division & Clev isnt a ticket seller, some posters have unrealistic expectations.

 

I disagree, Cleverly has defeated some fighters other people have actually heard of.

tbh I think pretty much everyone on the wbo list isn't too great and has been since Cleverly became champion, there isn't much point in paying off WBO because the mandatories are pretty bad, but the WBO seem to be loyal to Frank.

 

He will sell big in Wales, and id pretty much guarantee with a good solid undercard he'd even sell out Liverpool again (11'000)

Hes a likeable kid, with a decent style to watch

Hes being managed really really badly and thats beginning to harm his credibility, he needs to leave Frank while MR are riding the crest of a wave, and they can only get stronger, but to do that they need a deeper stable and Cleverly would be a great addition

Maybe one day but at the moment Clev struggles to sell out small arenas, there's zero chance of a stadium fight against a big name anytime soon.

I'm more concerned with his idiot of a trainer than Fwank's usual shenanigans, the kid has a lot of natural abilty but not a lot of craft & he doesnt look like he's improving.
