He is now British, Commonwealth and now European light heavyweight champ...

Certainly time to step up world level, what do the ESB'ers think he can do? How far can he go?

Looked to be a bit slow out the gates, but by the third round, he took control and closed it out in good style. Still has lots to learn, especially with defense, as he got caught clean several times tonight. But has great potential at LHW.

he needs to step up the competition but hes a very good prospect, very rangey, with a great right hand.

i think he can win a world title in 2 years.

I can see Clev winning a world title in the next 18 months! he's improving every fight and he's going about it the right way.... first the British title now the European then hopefully a world title in the near future. He's definately a prospect a LHW only 19 fights in.

He's not ready for a world this year, next year though definitley. Two more fights against solid competition and he's ready for the WBO title, btw he's ranked #3 by the WBO.

People have to remember that Clev is only 22 and still not boxing as a full time professional. I wouldnt rush him too quickly and risk him taking a beating at this stage of his career.

Let him defend his titles for a year or two, get some more rounds under his belt (excuse the pun) and then move up to world level.

He needs to stay at this level for a while now, Warren has 2 very good prospects in Nathan and the talented Mitchell, but he needs to make the right choices as time is runnning oufor ol' fisheyes, and this is the cream of his stable. I feel Mitchell will be a good world champion if he picks the right fights, i.e. not Valero and th like. Katsidis would be a *******.

As for Cleverley, he is still at school! Nah, he hs great talent, has proved himself up to Euro level, whats the harm in 3+ more fights, he needs 9-12 rounders.

I think he's still got some way to go. He looked good, but against a fighter who was very hittable - chin up, left hand low, little movement. He needs experience against better calibre boxers than Brancalion before he can think of mixing it with the top guys at LHW.

The world is his oyster right now. He is in one of the weakest weight divisions imo. He can definitely get himself a world title in the next year. I don't think he will ever reach p4p heights but he can rise to top of that division no doubt. As long as he stays away from Dawson that is.

outside of cloud/hopkins/dawson , cleverly is up there with the top prospects of 175 and most likely to win a title.

a fight with woods would be good.

:patsch Its comments like this that annoy me. No one is 'over rating' Cleverley, what we are saying is he is at the top of the domestic level now (with all 3 belts), and it will soon be time for him to move up to world level. The guy is still in uni ffs he will finish this in May, give him a break.
