Nathan Cleverly: analysis of his style, strengths, and weaknesses

Not much power and not fought anyone of decent standard still in his career and very padded record. No defence either think of carl froch without the chin or power.

 

And you think Zab Judah is a great fighter?

In fact i didn't sense much overhype in this thread at all, maybe there have been others but give the guy a chance can you?!

 

Not so much a weakness but a doubt I have. Whilst being tall and having broad shoulders, he doesn't look (to me) that he has the physical strength or power to keep off the more determined opponents who can hit hard (60% KO at a decent level) and have a stocky strength and hardness about them at 175lbs. I hope I'm wrong. Think Johnson, DM etc.
I'm not convinced at this point that he is any better than Nicky Piper was. Piper was unfortunate to fight DM and Benn.

i caught someone comparing Clev and Froch on youtube. Stupid comparison or is it just me who cant see it?

 

You don't have to be a twat about Joe Calzaghe all the time. You speak sense a lot of the time mate but your hate for Joe is just stupid I really don't understand it.

At this moment in time it would take a massive gulf in class for Cleverley to fight someone at the level of Calzaghe. I can only imagine you think VERY highly of Cleverley to think that he will fight someone as good as Joe Calzaghe in his career.
