What would Nathan do (rather what would FW make Nathan do) if Glen Johnson declared an interest in the belt?

Would he step up to be counted or vacate?

i love to see glen target cleverly for the commonwealth title it would be so funny to see frank warren worm his way out of it. the old warren story of ''we offered him a good deal but he wanted more money'' would be used.

Great call - I think Cleverley would take the fight, do his best, lose, and learn a hell of a lot.

Won't happen though as FW builds his unbeaten record fighting Afro Bums.

put cleverely in perspective... he used to spar with joe calzaghe and joe used to whip him in a couple of rounds, him and another sparring partner (i think bradley pryce) used to do one round each for 12-15 rounds with joe as none of them could stay with joes stamina and pressure for full 12 rounds. Joe rates natan highly (obviously not in his league) but i like nathan he just doesn't have the one punch power

what a fight potentially it could be a real stern test for clev and thats the tests all fighters should be taking these days

Clev would **** himself then spend the rest of his career fighting awful afrobums. It is a real disapointment that the Commonwealth belt has been tarnished so bad with recent title holders such as him and Broadhurst. Anyone remember when the belt attracted top fighters from the former empire countries and was a step up from the British belt. Now all the belt is used for is to give SN fighters a chance to appear on Sky without facing decent oposition plus making sure the fighters can avoid the best domestic contenders.

Even McIntosh has fought better opponents than Clev.

He's not ready for someone like that yet. He's only 21 and has plenty of time to develop. The next 2 years wil be about establishing himself at domestic and european level. There's no point laying into him now coz neither he nor anyone in his camp is claiming that he is world class yet. Respect and appreciate him for what he is, a great prospect who still has a hell of a lot of learning to do before graduating to the world stage.

He is a good prospect. A bit of a **** though and the fact he is the commonwealth champion shows how awful the standard of that belt has become.

Nothing to do with the thread really but i ****ing hate the way he comes to the ring with that daft headband and stupid grin, doing a little dance, mind i suppose he's thinking "getting paid £15000 odd grand for fighting a unfit bucket man who had 2 wks notice!"
