Splinter has been sound everytime I've met him, and it's not exactly his fault he didn't beat Braehmer for the title. I'm sure Nathan wanted to win it in the ring. He'll go on to prove himself shortly.
Exactly. Given time and a few more fights he will have the opportunity to prove the haters wrong.... I don't like or dislike the lad personally, but then again I'm a boxing fan, I want to see good boxers fight good fights, and he's done that so far for me. :good
Only the English think that 'sheep shagger' bothers us It's one of Cardiff's best chants to be honest :deal *Pikey ****
Talking of that sort of thing you should have seen some of the Craig Evans fans from Caerphilly at the Echo Arena on Saturday. It was like an episode of The League of Gentleman.
I was in school with Craig, and I can imagine if some of his school chums turned up it would be quite shocking. :bolt
I dread to think the looks they would have got if they'd have gone out around Liverpool after the boxing...
I can imagine. I've got some funny stories about Craig - I'll not be posting them on the open forum though!
I think Cleverly comes across okay in interviews, press conferences etc. He's a bit arrogant, like most determined, confident boxers. I like him as a fighter. I don't really understand some of the criticism he got after the Bellew press conference either. Tony has been giving him **** for years
As a person seems alright to me and im 100% behind him. (im not welsh) As a boxer I still think he has to be properly tested and has pretty much had the title given to him. Stick him in with Pascal / Hopkins then we'll find out where he is!
I like him and the public like him too. He always comes forward to fight, you've got to like a fighter like that. He's a bit like Murray but with more speed and much more skill.
