Tomorrow Nate Cleverly, one of the most commercialized British fighters today, is fighting Karpency. Will we see another boring Nate fight winning on points or will the ref come in to save the day and stop the fight for little to no reason, which seems to be a habit in this part of the world.

    Thoughts? :yep

I'm all for Champions being allowed less taxing fights if they have a consistent record of taking tough fights. But FW is bullshitting here(nothing unusual about that)
Bellew was a tough fight, but it's hardly a name to get Hopkins excited. The fact it was a good fight was a bonus. It does nothing for NC's status abroad.
He really needs tp pick up here.Braemher would be a start.

I know nothin of Karpency other than the WBO have put him in their rankings and the WBC, IBF and WBA have not.

My guess is he has been handpicked to make Cleverley look good.

We could see a premature stoppage tommorrow but not because nathan is being commercialised, but because British refs are terribly trigger happy.

    Thoughts?

    Yes I got one "ur a ***"

I rather have fight stopped "early" than do a "smoger" and let a fighter take one too many punches...

Now go **** urself and play in traffic u speccer.

Clevely, sir joe protege will come good.

I would like to see the Braehmer fight, but ****** has had his fingers burnt already with him.

Maybe Frank was surprised how much trouble Bellew actually gave Nathan and thought better of giving him a tricky oponent.

The trigger happy refs are a result of commercialization...Tyson Fury, quite possibly one of the worst HW's today to be called a "prospect" got one vs. a Canadian guy who actually came to fight and not just come to the ring and get slaughtered like a fish.

    Damn, someone is butt hurt.

Im looking forward to playing the Nathan Cleverley drinking game.

When the programme starts when ever they mention his university degree you have to do a shot. You also have to do a shot if they mention his intelligence in anyway, mention maths or any 'Clever' pun around the name 'Cleverley'...

    He's bright we get it.:blood

Probabaly....the second an actual fight breaks out British refs stop it. British refs are the worst in the world.

Your either guaranteed this opponent being a joke, the stoppage being a joke or both

I dont think it has anything to do with bias of ay sort. Ive seen some **** stoppages in fights where there is no star at all. There is something drummed into our refs which leads them to jump in too quick. Personally I think its a hangover from the high profile injuries of Michael Watson and Gerald McClellan, which is commendable but leads to uneccersary stoppages.

I suppose it's the lesser of two evils.

If the two options were brain damage and a premature stoppage then yes, go with the premature stoppage, but that isnt case. You can make decent stoppages. British refs are far too jumpy for me, this is sport is supposed to be dangerous.

You think they're bad at stoppages?
You should see some of the fights that the referees score. They're even worse at scoring than they are at stopping.

****** will spoon feed Cleverly until the Welshman is so accustomed to fighting B class opposition that he is unable to step up and compete with the elite.

We've seen it happen, It think both Calzaghe and Hatton lost important years fighting average comp.

175 is not a scary division, i not conviced with Shumenov or Cloud and they are world champs... Id push for Cloud if I was Waren.
