Nathan Cleverly fighting tomorrow....BS Ref Stoppage anyone?

Probably some sort of robbery or controversy involved. Cleverly is the most overhyped and protected boxer out there.

 

He might be overhyped but would smash alot of polish glass jaws.
Including those of adamek.

 

There has only been one silly stoppage in Cleverlys career and there will always be questions asked about the quality of opposition,but thats because he's another Fwank golden goose so expect nothing else.I happen to think he's a decent fighter,but the time has come to take on bigger challenges.

 

I am a bit unsure of him lately. I can't remember what fight it was but he appeared to get a little buzzed from somebody who isn't even a known puncher and reacted to it by show-boating.

 

Cleverly is beyond the point where he should have stepped it up and he's fighting no one that can teach him anything or help him improve. It's going to lead to false confidence and him getting destroyed when he's forced to fight a legit mandatory (although with WBO and FW they might be able to hold that belt hostage fighting bum madatories for another couple years. My guess is he isn't worldclass but it might be several years before we find out. This fight is such a joke it shouldn't even be a title defense.

Clev= more of a paper champ then Alvarez and Chavez Jr combined, he's done the first time he faces any of worth.

 

I'm pretty much in agreement RTB.
Clev is one of those fighters who is proficient at most things,excellent in others but great at none.What he does have is superb conditioning.I really want to see him fight a live contender to see if I'm wrong because I have a sneaking suspicion he could do better.I think his fitness will be a huge factor in his career.
They got lucky with Bellew(I mean Cleverly's whole team) because it was an excellent fight.But Bellew won't cause ripples stateside so NC needs to get ****ing real with the level of opposition.
