Nathan Cleverly: "I'll be more than happy to go down a division for Froch"

Are these fighters stupid or something? They haven't learned **** from Dawson/Ward. He's probably just looking for a paycheck as Froch is the cash cow of his division.

 

The weight would be a big issue. If he was comfortable at the weight and wasn't drained (like Dawson) it would be a very good fight: Cleverly has a good chin and I rate him quite highly but he hasn't been hit by anyone with Froch's culmalative power before and he wouldn't have the power himself to hurt Froch. Cleverly could box his way to a decision if he could avoid too much punishment but his style probably suits Froch and he is too untested at the level. I think it would be a good interesting fight though, I rate Cleverly higher than many on here and look forward to seeing him step up.

 

who has Cleverly fought that suggests he's capable of mixing it with the likes of Froch at light-heavy let alone super-middle?

 

Cleverly doesn't look like he could lose weight very well, the guys pretty skinny as it is.

 

Didn't he start out at 168lb to soon realise that even as a young lad he was draining himself too much?

 

He was talking about moving up to Heavyweight last year. He's just going marketing himself.

 

I'd favour Froch at 175 - at 168 I think it would be comprehensive.

I disagree that Cleverly could ever "box" his way to a decision. It doesn't take any effort to convince him to stay in close and fire off power-shots. That's worked for him so far but he'd be facing a big step-up in class and I'm not sure trading with Froch is the best idea for him.

Cleverly looks to have a good chin but I can see him taking a beating over 12 here.

Lets make it happen Froch via KO!!! Nathan has good chin no doubt but he is wide open Krasniqi landed so many great shits and Froch is much better all around fighter than Krasniqi i can see him stopping Nathan!

Dawson i mental midget with all his talent speed technique he lost to Pascal who can fight for half a fight he does not have the brain to go with his talent and throws to little to ever beat Ward, Ward schools him where ever they do fight!!!

 

Id much rather Froch move up and challenge him for his title there.
