poor Nathan, he took a vicious beating, but he still deserves the props for facing someone like Kovalev as a voluntary defense

, yes ashira evans, myger, Manfred jnr, and the other ten who no one can remember all the best smws if you are a regional champ. u r so 100% in your statement its unbelievable lol.

Kessler was a very good smw defence though.

but why are you bringin up joe calzaghe in this thread, please try to stick to the subject of the thread in future. You shouldn't be bothered so badly that you have to bring him up. This thread is all about Clev who ran gibbering in fear from his own divsision after getting destroyed once.

nomate I am slagging off Nath.

unless you mean the word cowardzage is synonymous with calzaghe, in which case you are welcome to make that case, I wont stop you.

but I don't think you ahould infer that cowardzaghe is the same as calzaghe personally, after all calzaghe was brave enough to fight one very good smw, Kessler in his 11 years, so for thse 45 minutes he was definitely not a coward.

so please don't put down our brit champs again, if you would be so kind, by referring to them in such ways.

that's because more than likely Cleverly and his team thought Kovalev was some pushover

had they known what kind of fighter Kovalev was, they would have pulled a calzaghe and waited till Kovalev was 40+

If Clev stayed in the division he'd be in the top 3 in the weight class.
    No shame in that.

Its people like Clev who make boxing interesting. He tried and failed against the elite.
Whereas "The elite" refuse to fight one another.

Clev moved up in weight and won his first fight there in good fashion. Few more fights he might be ready for a belt holder, and a new reign as Champion.

What else could he do in LHW?
Fight Hopkins, Adonis or Kovalev again?
Obnly Kovelev would grant him a rematch and it'll probably end in the same way.
He's got a decent chance vs Adonis and Hopkins imo, still. No shame in moving weight to avoid another beating from an elite operator like kovalev.

Hopkins would school clev for 8 rounds, and then clev would win 2 at the end through work rate through being fully fit. sdecision to Hopkins without a doubt

although in wales with a cowardzaghe-style ref, it might be a tko in 1 win for clev 1 after -
    1. Clev lands five pitter patter punches on Hopkins forearsms, then getting floored by Hopkins.
    2. welsh ref then carrying clev to his corner
    3. welsh ref stopping fight and bizarrely awarding it to clev by stoppage.

Adnis in Wales would be the same but Clev wouldn't wake up from the knockdown. He'd still get the win though.

Who am I kidding, Adonis and Hop and Froch would both kill Clev, no wonder he only pretended he wanted to fight them.

Clevs tyle was terrible, Picking a weakling to defend against, and then between his opponents blows he would step forward and land a bunch of pitter patter featherfists onto his opponents forearms. LOL

for which his welsh buddy ref would ensure he won the fight.

Who the hell ever paid for his fights (apart from the KO4clev one which was great).

    Pretended to fight them?

He went on to fight Kovalev who would beat Hopkins, Froch and Adonis into retirement.
Why would he pretend to want to fight Hopkins, Adonis(The time this thread was made he was irrelevant) and the offer Froch refused?
Froch said the WBO belt was not a World title. Why did Froch want the title from Calzaghe a few years ago?
175lbs Clev beats Froch still. Clev is still young, he's got 5-10 years left in boxing if he plays safe and doesn't go in with Elite boxers like Kovalev until he's ready for them.

I think he'll do well in the new weight class. But will fall short at a Huck or any other beast in the division. Again, no shame in that.

the only good opponent he fought, and the only one qwho beat him. not a coincidence.

put clev in the ring with someone world level, and he dies.

but you keep on getting suckered by wassen and clev.

how do you know this? and why are bringin up a smaller guy from smw into a fight with KO4Clev?

its an old wassen trick, pretend to call out a tough guy like antwun echols who would beat em, and then settle for someone regional such as will mcintre as a replacement.

I see you are in a mood for telling jokes, good one.

26, isn't he?his prime is now, if he isn't facing world class now he never will.
lets not mention elites and clev in the same sentence though ay be realistic.

You come up very negative person, you write about these guys with passion almost like you were in influence of drugs. 4000 posts more or less this same gibberish about these two guys.

    Are you okay Herol?
