This guy has all the boxing abilities, a good chin and it had become evident in the last 2 years a boxer who wants to impress and go to war to prove that he is the best.

Already he is talking about becoming the unified 175 champ within the next 18 months. Yes troops within the next 18 months.

Ex-sparring partner to Joe Calzaghe, who stated that Cleverly is the real deal.

I've watched him since the start of his career, and apart from the sloppy defence this is a fighter who is out to impress and can box long (if he would just adopt to do so), but is more intent on impressing and boxing on the inside.

He has cleaned up domestically and has come up, as we say in the UK - "the tradiational way" Commonwealth, British & European Champion.

His power punching is improving, obviously he needs to re-evaulte his style as he goes up through the levels, but gentleman Nathan Cleverly will be a 175 titlest within the next 18-20 months, if not by the end of the year.

Already he has spoken about facing Pascal and Cloud, and whilst in my opinion, that may be a bit of bravado coming out of the Welshman, already he has laid down the marker as the main man in Britian for me.

Hopefully he improve on his defence and also he does not let his machismo get in the way when he finds himself at the champagne level.

I rate him highly but I think he needs two more fights before stepping up to world level.

He is very good but he needs to work on his defense. There were many holes. A better fighter would have exploited that. I with him all the best. Looks like the goods.

Brehmer and Bellew would of knocked him out tonight.

I don´t have much doubts that he beats Brähmer. He just needs to watch on his defence or have an iron chin.

    Totally agree with this.

He appears to be fighter that when his mind is made up then there is no stopping him.

Against the likes of Cloud or Pascal he would face major problems.

I would give him Johnson next before Braehmaer.

He's nearly there, needs a few more defenses first before meeting Cloud or Pascal. With him all the way, think he has the tools to be a world beater!

Hes a very exciting talent for sure.

The improvement hes made from before the Tony Oakey fight in his attacking arsenal is massive. I thought the way he threw the uppercuts tonight with such ease was great. Murat showed a great beard, and I was surprised Cleverly went to complete war with Murat! He needs to ease up a bit and think things through, he has the ability to win fights without putting himself in trouble.

Very entertaining though, stole the show :good

    Agree with this as well.

He has all the tools to box himslef to victory. I said to the wife during the fight when the "Calzaghe stablemate" comments came up, this is a guy who is not intent on boxing his way to comfortable points decision, even though he has the skills to do so.

He is over eager to impress. That was certainly the fight of the night, only problem was he negated his jab a few times to stand in the pocket and trade.

Heopfully he further improves on that, either way though he will be a ABC holder within the next 18 months imho.
