been saying this kid is the real deal for a long time, phenominal workrate and arsenal of punches.

needs to be a bit more careful in the future though, was hanging his chin out a bit too much and wanting to have tare up too much when he can easily dominate on the outside.

tonight proved hes got a solid chin though which is a good sign. he's certainly one of the most exciting prospects to watch in boxing at the moment.

enjoyed the fight, pity about the bull**** stoppage though.

is not good enough to win at world level........has no power to hurt the best out there.

and power alone is what is required to win at world level?

Mayweather has had 1 stoppage in his last 6 fights.

Timothy Bradley hasn't had a stoppage win his last 8 fights.

He looked pretty damn good, but I think he may need one more fight for the world class stage. I remember posters saying he would beat shumenov. I just don't see that happening.

I'm still a bit higher on Tony Bellew but this was a very impressive result.

    you can't be serious mate.

Cleverly has proven himself well beyond Bellew now.

I have stated that if Cleverly dealt with Murat in impressive fashion (which he did) then he was the real deal.

He had enough power to hurt a guy like Murat. Who showed a pretty good chin tonight.

He's obviously not a one punch knockout puncher. But he's no Paulie Malinaggi either.

He's more proven but I prefer Bellew's style.

As I said, beating Murat - especially in dominant fashion - does impress me quite a bit. :good

Bellew now needs to make massive moves to get himself up to Cleverly's levle now, especially when you consider his age.

i knew this was gonna be the fight of the night.cleverly impressed me tonight.he went straight at murat, who is a tough and dangerous fighter, and just broke him down with constant pressure.he negleted the jab and the long range boxing a bit, but i'm not complaining.this was a great performance, and an exciting one as well.

watch out the light heavyweight division, there's a new guy in town.

    world champ within a year!!

That's true, he's playing catch-up with the late start. Isn't there huge domestic interest in a fight between the two, though? It might still sell well in the next year even with Cleverly having stepped up to a higher level.
