Nah, you can hear after the 9th inbetween rounds that Wegener tells Murat what he should do next round. Then the doc and ref came to the corner and told them it´s over.

I'd favour Campillo, Erdei, Uzelkov, Cloud, Pascal, Dawson, Shumenov to beat him. I really want to see a fight with Cleverly vs Shumenov, Cloud, or Uzelkov.

I agree with that. Cleverly still lacks experience and he needs to seriously work on his defence.

the guy does seem to have alot of stamina a la calzaghe.. wish he would box more on the outside and jab more as hes quite rangy.

Nathan Cleverly blasted his way towards an inevitable world-title shot - even if he almost got his sums wrong against Karo Murat.

The British, European and Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion added the WBO interim belt to his collection with an all-action display, punching non-stop for nine rounds against a man who arrived in Birmingham with an unblemished record.

For a brief spell it looked as if maths graduate Cleverly had miscalculated as Murat fought back, but any concerns that the 23-year-old would punch himself out soon disappeared in a series of blistering combinations.

Had he used a little more guile the Welshman might have opened his man up a lot earlier, but he loves to put on a show and did just that, thrilling a packed LG Arena and also serving warning that he has, after only 20 fights, the stage presence, stamina and skills to make an impact at world level.

There is still work to be done on his defence and he will need another dimension if he is to go on and dominate the division, but it will be fun watching him get there - unless you are on the receiving end.

Cleverly set off at a furious pace, teeing off at will on a man who remained static, staunchly stuck behind his guard for the entire opening round. The Welshman looked good in the process, landing up top and downstairs with ease, but it wasn't until he brought out left uppercut that he actually hurt his man.

It took a minute of the third for Murat to display the attacking talents that had led to a 22-0 record, but by then Cleverly was in full swing and he shrugged off the fleeting response, the uppercut evidently the best way through. Two of them back-to-back had Murat retreating and by the end of the second, Cleverly had landed an impressive 50 blows.

There had barely been a jab among them and as more combinations rained in, Murat continued to soak them up, unperturbed and unruffled. Five straight punches did have him on the back foot but they also triggered a sharp counter and a left hook kept Cleverly in check. Realising there is still work to be done on the Welshman's defence he repeated the feat and finished the round on top and suggesting his punchbag routine had been a ruse all along.

Even so, Cleverly continued to do as he pleased - but not as Dean Powell in his corner would've liked. The shots continued to flow, but the damage was minimal and more and more Murat emerged from his shell to stick a left in, even stringing together a smart left-right-left to close - and take - the fourth.
Wilting

He even forced a stumble from the master mathematician in the fifth, but Cleverly was soon back on the front foot, taking the round with more clean shots; his workrate showing as little sign of wilting as his opponent. As Powell again pointed out, the occasional jab or feint might have opened Murat up but after his worst session of the night, the 23-year-old from Cefn Forest was right back on top thanks to combinations from first to last bell.

Murat though clearly relishes a tear-up and he was happy to stand and trade at times, both men swapping left hooks as the pace of the fight picked up again past the halfway mark. Cleverly then produced a big, spearing right down the middle and for the first time, Murat was clearly troubled. His nose was soon cut, perhaps courtesy of another uppercut,and even if he didn't possess the power to get his man out of there, Wales' newest boxing sensation clearly had the stamina to see him off.

He was still vulnerable to the counter though, and as Murat retreated behind his guard again, there was a worrying moment when Cleverly took a step back after a leaving himself open to the short left not once, not twice but three times. It was the last success Murat was to see.

As he faded, Cleverly flooded forward, a booming right rocking Murat back, widening the cut which had already cause the German-based Iraqi to send one or two concerned looks to his corner. His body language was now that of a beaten man and after surviving another barrage, topped with a left hook to the side of the head, he ended the round slumped on the ropes, struggling for breath.

He sloped to his corner where the doctor was waiting to inspect the nose and referee Mark Nelson had clearly seen enough. Cruelly though he waited until Murat had hauled himself to his feet to start the 10th, calling it off before the punishment could resume.

Nathan did great last night - stole the magnificent seven show. He has the tools togo all the way and become the undisputed LHW Champion. He has loads of Calzaghe's ability and desire. He has only gone full time boxing since June, so I expect improvements to follow. He seems a really nice fella too - Not big headed, just confident that he has the ability to become the world champion.

I think he needs a few more fights before he tackles Pascal, but other than that, I'd set him loose on any of the other LHWs.
