TT havn't heard that at CW about Bellew would for me be totally exposed at title level.Euro onwards likewise.

Stevenson is without a doubt a massive ask.

Cloud really disappointed me last night Stevenson showed something I havn't seen before boxing wise. Many a fighter has looked beyond the task ahead & Stevenson has been frustrated before not the best argument to make but not the lost cause many think!

He is utterly delusional. Said until he got hit in the third round it was going perfectly.

To answer the title of the thread, Cleverly is clutching at straws.

Cleverly does not have the punch power to keep away the top cruiserweights. If he carries on Cleverly will struggle to get beyond domestic class he simply does not have a concusive enough punch to be effective.

He's a really good light heavyweight and he would be competitive against anyone in the division other than Kovalev.

There's no disgrace in losing to Kovalev, to consider fighting him was a mistake, to consider a rematch is stupid. He needs to get real. It's not that Clev is a bad fighter, it's just Kovalev has that ability to hurt and cause concussion on anyone he hits. His style, size, movement and experience enable him to land those devastating punches.

He would shatter Adonis Stevensons' chin in a few rounds. He would probably beat Andre Ward and Bernard Hopkins.

A fight with Enzo Mac would generate a few quid for Clev and would interest the Welsh audience. It's also a belt to defend IF he was to win.

Perhaps Clev can come back and make enough money to set himself up for life. Without a title and the prospect of big money fights, it's a bit of a comedown though. If he could make 168's, he may stand a good chance there.

If he got a big payday for Kovalev and if he can admit to himself that he would never beat him, then he can move forward\on. He needs to set goals. Perhaps win the Commonwealth or European belt. A rivalry with Enzo and Bellew could be rekindled. Both are good domestic fights. Perhaps he could get a WBO tilt at Super-middleweight or perhaps the promoters can get Shumenov over.

He needs to get himself into position, because I doubt Kovalev gets any of the other belts because he's going to be avoided like the plague now.

    Goodluck. :good

Cleverly should either stay 175lb or call it a day or have along rest & recharge his batteries.

It is obviously a massive jump to CW from 175lb if his desire is on the wane at such a young age make a few quid in domestic rivalries fight Enzo & get the hell out of there.

This would be the stupidest decision he ever made by doing this. He has the chance to fight Enzo at light-heavyweight for European championship and maybe put himself back in contention. I think he would destroy Enzo but also earn a lot of money from this. I would like to see him against Bellew who I honestly think will beat him this time.
