Saw that article on the front page and James Slater reckons this will happen soon for the Euro title.

Good test for him....wouldn't like to see him risk it in Germany though.

This the best fight for him at this stage?

Too early for a fight like that and Braehmer is the WBA mandatory so will be vacating the title soon enough. Not a good idea to fight him imo.

Although if he can beat Braehmer, he can beat Campillo and if Warren really is serious about getting Cleverly in for a World title within the year this is the way to go.

Personally I'd do what a fellow poster on here suggested and put him in with Tim Bell. After that put him in with a fully fit(which was not the case last time) Tony Oakey an after that they could look for the European belt.

I'd have to disagree. He's an average fighter with a decent dig and was well beaten by Garay when they fought for the WBA title. His main claim to fame is knocking out an old Mario Veit, who himself wasn't very good in his 'prime'. If Braehmer comes through his WBA eliminator which I imagine he will do comfortably, no way will Universum risk having him defend his European title against Cleverly, with a world title shot on the horizon. As it is, with a few more hard fights under his belt Cleverly will have the beating of him.
Campillo is a **** super middle, whom Cleverly would batter now, if Warren could somehow arrange it. However I imagine he's probably going to have to fight Garay in a rematch.
