    this laddie is fighting a week on Friday ,defending his Commonwealth belt.However there is still no opponent been announced.with such a short time i take were going to see a mismathc?

    poor show from the promoter imho.

    no its not a disaster,but for a title defence you should have them in place at least a week and half before it is due to go ahead.at this rate your going to get below par opponent

    They should be in place six weeks prior to the fight.

    Does Warren actually give the fighters the notice (and tell them to keep quiet) - because they ought to have sufficient time to prepare.......

    I was under the impression that Commonwealth title fights were subject to purse bids and as such opponents would be matched months in advance

    No doubt they will find someone from Buckham in Accra, Ghana.

    One day I'm going to go over there to find out if the place exists as my suspicion is that when someone comes to the ring billed as being from there it is simply to enable the commentators to have something to say about an opponent that no-one has ever heard of when they are actually from Stoke Newington
