    Round 8

Groves is jabbing from outside while circling, sticking to his earlier pattern but not circling close enough to land the jab. DeGale has his hands completely dropped like weights at his side and is flipping his jab up calmly. Groves is doing a lot of dancing on the outside. DeGale is landing lead lefts coming forward. They're exchanging a bit and both landing a little. DeGale feints and jabs from outside.

    10-9 DeGale

    77-75 DeGale

Groves gets the better of the few exchanges in that round, taking it 10-9. 6 rounds to 2 now, 78-74 George Groves.

Very close round. I got it 5-3 DeGale, in a razor thin fight.

DeGale takes the 8th, simply by landed the only meaningful punches of the round. DeGale ahead 5-3 for me. This is going to be a split decison and highly questioned.

degale has much heavier shots than groves. seems to realize groves can't really hurt him.

  12. Everyone's scores for this fight are all over the place haha... I'm gonna predict a close descision for DeGale if the fight keeps going like this.

    Round 9

Groves is getting in and jabbing in doubles, then stepping off to his left around Degale. Groves dodges a lead left. Groves is back to using good movement combined with his accurate jabbing from mid-range. DeGale has a right jab lay flat against Groves' neck and then throws several combos with only a moment's rest between, all getting blocked as Groves commits to defense. There's a cut on both. Ruled from a clash of heads. DeGale keeps firing up combos. He's getting largely blocked but still forcing Groves back and finding some purchase on the body. Whipping overhand left. Groves' cut looks like it could get bad. Groves is landing a nice 1-2 here and there but getting outworked now by DeGale's attacking in spurts. BIG LEFT HAND!!!!! Groves staggers back!!! DeGale charges and they headbutt!!!!

    10-9 DeGale

    87-84 DeGale
