Cleverly is a belt holder at 175, two divisions above where Pavlik was any good, I don't think cleverly should have got a belt so soon, he should have waited, but he has enough in his tank to beat someone who is realistically good at two divisions below him,

Pavlik beats him in a war, Pavlik gets a lot of flack but Cleverly isn't that good he struggled with Tony Bellew's jab. He's wide open to straight punches, actually any punches!. Pavlik stops him late in a really good fight.

    oooh, I fear for Cleverly.

Pavlik is a monster when hes not destroying himself, and would take him. Natn isnt defensive enough to counter him for long, and then its KO territory if they fought at a catchweight or SMW.

Then again, best Pavlik is a MW and hes unproven at LH. So its unfair to pick him against a man who is in the process of proving himself at LH.

pavlik has fought a bunch of times over 160. he's lost once...to hopkins. so everyone saying his power won't carry are trivializing how hard he punches. anyone from 160-175 who catches a well timed/placed right hand from kelly is going to be on their back looking up.

last guy he fought said the only person who came close to hitting as hard as pavlik was tavoris cloud.

cleverly has some skill but i havent seen anything yet that would lead me to believe he can withstand what pavlik does best.

Taylor, Hopkins, Lopez and ooh Aaron Jaco?! Get the **** outta here, brah. Pavlik ruined Taylor IMO, but those other three fights don't tell me **** except that he's sluggish against better than mediocre opponents above 160.

EDIT: I don't even need a response from you. Your avatar is telling me all I'm gonna need to know about what you wanna say.

yeah i'd agree that pav would knock him out on paper and probably in practice, but in its not fair to judge someone who hasnt fought at LH yet. He might not cope at all well with it, remember Joe Calzaghe was glasschinned when he went up to LH.

my post was directed at people saying he won't carry his power over 160.

edit: i don't need a response from you b/c your hate tells me all i'm gonna need to know about your worthless ****ing response. peace :deal

i'm not saying kelly is going to lay everyone out he faces above 160. far from it. and he still is going to have problems with hopkins-esqe fighters no matter the weight. its just that he doesnt mysteriously lose all ability to crack once he does go over 160 as some are suggesting.

kelly has fought at lhw. the hopkins fight was at lhw and hopkins hit him with everything but the ringpost and a steel chair and kelly didnt go down.

as far as joe...yeah he did get put on his seat but i'm not sure if that makes him chinny above smw so much as he just got sloppy with guys he thought he could just toy with from the start. of course once he straightened up he ultimately did toy with roy.

I was just Throwing this fight out there! I Know Kelly is clearly a 168 lber with the possiblity of going to MW but. You gotta think of his future! Where the money fights, and the easiest route to get a title to be able to have a say so in money and who he fights ya know?

Nate is 25 yrs old, and if Pavlik Moves up one day, nate would be there! I never seen Nate fight, but on paper Kelly has fought WAY better people!

Its a Good Matchup on paper!
