Cleverly uses some windshield wiper side to side movement throughout the first couple of minutes, and Kras has difficulty tracking him down. Clev starts unloading in the final minute,landing another nasty hook with some venom and then bringing a couple of nice shots upstairs to take yet another stanza.

Round 12:

Cleverly goes back to the jab, circling his foe and popping his foe with it at regular intervals. Kras dutifully plows forward but can't land anything significant in the final three minutes.

Decent enough showing for the champ against a solid, though not spectacular challenger.

 

Fighting Braemher 2 years too late.
Juergen looked pretty shot to me last time out.

Something about Clev, not sure what it is. There are moments where he fights beautifully but in the next he looks like he's just taking the round off. Solid chin, no doubt but I still don't know what to make of him. I think a step up in class is needed after his mandatory.

 

****ing hell if every world champion fought all of their mandatory challengers we'd never get the fights we want, although sometimes if mandatory's are avoided it does stop fights we want to see.

Either way it's about time we saw Cleverly in a fight that's actually 50/50 or close to it.

 

Maybe not shot but he is over his prime. To be fair he had a pretty long lay off before the Gutknecht fight and Gutknecht made it an ugly fight. But Brähmer is still a level above Krasniqi.

 

It doesn't happen to me with many fighters but Cleverly seriously bores me, I had to turn it off and I hardly ever do that.

 

I really fancied the fight back then,but I don't think Braemher has enough now.
I think he lacks discipline outside the ring,and it's catching up with him now.

 

He can only fight who will fight him.

I had it 119-109, but yeah, I guess I coulda gave Kras the 5th as well.

Ive heard a bunch of ppl criticise his oppostion by saying he looks ok, but he'd never get away with his habits if he fought tougher opposition and **** like that.

Hopkins could have waited for this fight and then signed. Nate has been asking for that fight for 2 yrs. Ward can get some. Dawson can get some. Cloud can get some. Pascal can get some.

Only Kovalez and Bute have the unique quality of massive power and world level class to trouble him.

He'd smoke Roidnard, and all the dirty tricks he employs won't keep Cleverly from banging him outta there and being the first to have him since his prison release.:deal

 

Braehmer will still have his moment because Cleverly, for whatever reason, allows his foes to have them. Not sure if Jeurgen's capable of really capitalize on them, and it should still be fun, because Clev will stay in there in the trenches of his own accord.
