Agreed. It's one (if not the) weakest divisions in boxing.

Noone in the division you can realistically argue are in the pound for pound top 50.

Quick synopsis of Steve O'Meara vs Chas Symonds (6 rounds)

By and large, the taller, more skilled O'Meara outboxed his shorter, squatter opponent, using his jab and bringing the right hand behind it, busting his foe up after a while.. But the fight was not without incident, since Symonds cut his foe with a hook in the first and then opened another cut with an accidental butt. O'Meara also had a point taken off for landing his best punch of the fight...between his foe's legs.

A bit untidy, but hard fought, spirited and fun to watch at points.

    O'Meara W6 Symonds

    Nathan Clevery vs Robin Krasniqi

    Round 1:

Clevery outjabs his foe, brings a couple of rights behind it, and actually wobbles his foe momentarily with a right to the temple.

    10-9 Cleverly.

    Round 2:

Cleverly continues to work behind the jab, and fires one twos and one-two-threes at his foe. Kras lands a couple of rights in return but is getting out-landed by a fair margin by his foe.

    20-18 Cleverly

    Round 3:

Different story, as Kras flashes an uppercut to start and then begins to whip rights around his foe's guard into his flank, and brings the right hand over and around a few times to connect to the head. Clev finishes strong, by backing his foe into the corner and connecting with a couple of nice shots, but on the whole, I say Robin controlled enough of that round to take it on my card.

    29-28 Cleverly

    Round 4:

Nice bodyshot by Clev at the start. Back to the chessmatch, with Clev looking to bring the right cross and uppercut behind the jab as he moves forward, while Kras waits and looks to counter with the right. Near the end, an uppercut snaps back Krasniqi's head, followed by a NICE hook and a two more uppercuts to seal the deal on the round.

    39-37 Cleverly

    40-36 Cleverly.

Krasniqi having a few moments each rd, landing some clean punches, but Clevs is pushing the action from bell to bell each rd.

Clean shutout thus far. Cleverly landed a couple shots early in the fight that looked like they mighta put Kras down. Seems he's got his legs under him now.

Still, the disparity in class is apparent as Clevs continues to prove why he's #2 in the division behind Bute.:good
