Didn't turn out to be the case. Dude took an ass beating. I almost felt bad for him that night, getting beaten down like that in front of his family and friends.

Infact why would they ever be mentioned one was at 175 and the other 168.

there was a thread here years ago when I first discovered the site. Said Ward would retire to avoid Cleverly.

it was a reason I joined another discussion board instead of hanging around here with posters that ignorant. Now I see that there's really only a couple of insane fanboys and some pretty solid posters, and that's pretty common on all boards.

By the way, I misread your preference in a previous debate and owe you an apology. You didn't say anything racial and I shouldn't have jumped to that assumption.

 

Cleverly was never that great of a champ, sure he won a title after that but because his opponent slipped on a banana and hurt his shoulder. Cleverly was Bute 2.0.

 

Did a google search and it was failey. He simply said Ward would avoid 175 not retire. So my memory was close, but not 100%.
