    Kovalev is pushing out his left jab at lower chest level as Cleverly gets in low and flicks jabs at the belt line. 1-2 up top by Kovalev. Cleverly ducks and backs up. Jab into the bicep by Kovalev as Cleverly turns. Double jab, and double hook by Kovalev. Overhand right by Kovalev, caught on the back of the glove. Jab by Kovalev falling short. Kovalev is much busier in the opening minute. Cleverly shells up as Kovalev throws a hook-2. Long jab by Cleverly. Right hand lead by Kovalev. Jab by Kovalev scores. Double jab by Cleverly stepping forward, nice and textbook - but missing. Kovalev circles out and drills a right to the body. Triple flutter jab by Cleverly, all falling short. Double jab by Cleverly stepping in, the second one landing but Kovalev lands one too. Right hand up top by Kovalev, turned upside down and converted into an uppercut to the body. Cleverly keeps a high tight guard and jabs at Kovalev in doubles and triples. Long jab by Cleverly, and Kovalev jabs past it. Right hand over the top by Cleverly grazing the temple. Double jab by Kovalev. Combo by Kovalev falls short.

    I have Kov one up, Nathan seems comfortable but needed to figure out Kov and work out ways to counter him. I think he's going to come on strong later in the fight if he survives the first four.

    I have a feeling Kovalev is gonna provoke a cut on Cleverly in Round 3 or 4. If the fight goes that far.

    Already looks evident Cleverly is looking to turn the heat up in the middle rounds. His game-plan is blatantly to tire out the Russian here.
