    "Your home of darts" - :lol: is that really a mainstream thing over in the UK?

    Darts is a very popular game among college-aged lads, there's probably a board on the door of every room in every frat dorm and you often see guys in bars tossing a few to impress a girl- but I can't imagine anyone bothering to sit and watch professionals do it on TV.

    Of course, people watch golf. :conf

    ...and poker is big here. :!:

    I've heard and read a lot about Saunders and as an ex-pat Brit was looking forward to watching him fight tonight.

    I have to say that I didn't really see anything impressive in there tonight. Compared to Anthony Joshua (at the same level in their pro careers) he looks like a complete beginner.

    They are. In fact, that is where they make the majority of their money, if my understanding is correct. Boxing is more of a hobby or loss-leader for them.

    I just don't get why it seems to be such a mainstream sport over there. Sky promotes it more heavily than boxing.
