    Round 12

Quigg is tired but still pumping out both arms while riding a carousel around Otake, clockwise. Jab right jab by Quigg, all smokescreen but keeping Otake from laying a hand on him in pursuit. Otake is arm-weary too, pressuring but not throwing much. Otake flaps a right hand down across Quigg's shoulder leaning in on him. Quigg pushes off and hooks. Otake stays close. They lock elbow to elbow and grind together. Body shots by Quigg after shoving out with the point of his elbows digging into Otake's side to create distance. Otake misses a few punches as Quigg ducks right in front of him and pokes the body lightly.

    10-9 Quigg

    120-108 Quigg

Based on this fight Frampton will flatten Quigg. This guy is a decent, if comfortable, opponent for Quigg but perhaps indicates the latter’s level.

The commercial reality though is that its likely to happen to Frampton’s terms, he’s the bigger commercial proposition by a street. His mandatory is likely to get 20 000 sandwiched in if the season is suitable for the outdoor venue in Belfast, even with a truly **** undercard.

Otake a class act. That's how I like a loser. He gave his all, he didn't have a chance but never gave up, and praises the winner. Top class guy.

Back to boxing this one sided borefest is over. Quigg will move onto better things or may step it up in class and fight Zolt Bedak/James d1ckens or the mighty Tyson Cave.

We'd be lucky if he faced one of the above that's the sad thing.
