DeGale is understandably frustrated with having to chase after Froch.

It's almost as if Eddie needs to get back down to London, so has slipped Howard an extra few quid to get this stopped early and get the fights moving on...

For sure, but this opponent wasn't serious. Let's be real, Froch will murder DeGale even if he only turns up 90%. Periban was in poor shape… However good performance by James, but i need to see him against better opposition. Groves or Dirrell next

Froch knocks degale senseless. Degale tries to be too cute for his own good and his power wont phase froch

And Froch was frustrated with Calzaghe back in the day. If you're a young fighter that's hungry but you don't bring any money to the table its next to impossible to get the champion to fight you. The only thing Froch cares about now is money and DeGale is not bringing any. Froch wants big fights in the states much like Calzaghe sought at the end of his career.

Froch has earned the right to be picky in the last few fights of his career.

Degale chasing after Froch is like Froch chasing after Calzaghe.

Froch is downplaying the victory, saying Periban came in unambitious (I'd say he was less game than say, Otake was vs. Quigg, but was more game than Sjekloca was vs. Smith earlier) and that he seems to have "not had a serious go in the gym" and saying his record is even poor, lacking a win in his last three.

All this after DeGale bemoans Froch looking past him to a big Las Vegas payday and worried he won't get his deserved shot at him as mandatory, saying he is loathe to disrespect someone that has accomplished what Froch has but saying he is acting like a coward.
