Man Periban was in NO condition to continue after 2 seconds of evaluation.

DeGale hasn't even beaten a world level fighter, he lost a close decision to Groves. He hasn't earned his shot. DeGale is only relevant, because they're both from the UK and the public is somehow eager for another "Battle of Britain"

Thankfully Groves isn't wearing those stupid headphones this time. Maybe someone told him how much of a **** he looked in them. Or maybe seeing **** Bellew wearing them the other day made him reconsider.

Um, he beat several top 15 super middleweight contenders, actually.

He doesn't have that one glittering crown jewel in his resume (Groves II or Froch would be his best opportunity for that) but there is plenty of solid work in there.

Stoppages of Smith, Demers, Sanavia, Bozic, Gonzales, and Periband and decisions over Mouhoumadi, Davis, Zuniga and Wilk make for a resume as decent as you can put together at the weight without having gotten an elite in the ring with you.

Lets be honest, nothing in Degales record indicates Froch should give him a shot. Froch wants money and that's all that he should let himself be guided by being in the last leg of his career.

Decent skills and quick enough I think to nail Groves a few times but very vulnerable which isn't a good thing against Groves power. Groves looked very easy to hit in his last fight though so Im expecting Douglan to bring it

I rate him as capable, not world class but a good test for those on the bubble.

Note: that applies strictly to rating him at junior middleweight. Not SMW. :!:

Indeed, but going up against Froch, one would in my opinion need a world level win, which i think DeGale lacks.

Name like: Dirrell, Bika, Abraham, Sturm & Steglitz something like that.
