not really. Degale is more suited to fighters who are more static in their movement. His real problem is his ability to cut the ring off, but that won't be too much of a problem against Kessler. It would still be a close fight because Kessler is that good but styles dictates that degale has the advantage, IMO.

Yet a ton of fights goes 12 rounds without being title or elimination fights.

    Pac/Hoya
    Floyd/Marquez
    Bradley/Abregu
    Hopkins/Pavlik

tbh though I must admit that it's not exactly the fact that it only went 10 rounds that annoys me, it's more the fact that it seemed like it was changed from 12 to 10 with like a days notice or so. :verysad

DeGale beats Groves in a rematch. And Groves beats Smith.

Those should all have been 10 rounders. Star power & perceived p4p status should have nothing to do with # of rounds. 12 rounders are designated for specific purposes. In years past, it was 15 rounders. You wouldn't have had non-title/non-eliminator 15 rounders. Even if it was big name stars, if there was nothing concrete at stake it would have been a 12 rounder max (whereas now it's 10 max)

Reeeeally looking forward to that rematch. Had Degale winning their first fight by 1 point. Hope to see them taking more chances next time, though I enjoyed their first outing!

DeGale needs a big win. Revenge verses Groves. And hopefully a Bika, Andrade, level win. He won't get ( or Deserve ) a world title for a couple years, Although his time will come.

If this Delpulski(the pole) beats Degale, does that put him in the mix with the top 5 guys......Bute, Ward, Froch, Kessler, and Steiglitz?

    Meh.

It's not like all you need to do is grab a piece of plastic and write "championship" on it for it to be considered a "title bout" these days.

    Oh wait...
