and yeah, I forgot to comment on that, it isn't true at all. If Bellew can control the pace against you for certain sustained periods of a fight by jabbing then you're likely to be pretty ****ed against Bernard Hopkins, yes Bernard at 46 I mean.
Tbh if your over looking low blows that landed low frequently in that round 5-6 spell but want to look at something that happened in round 1 and i've acknowledged happened but lets be fair didn't do any damage i think your being a bit biased to Clev. I don't agree with Tony putting head in but it damn well had less of a affect then frequent low shots in a short period.
TBH it's hardly Victor Ortiz...not even worse then the Pole against JDG tbh. Richie was just stopping any 'naughty's' early on. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXoQ5dwcxV0[/ame]
Pascal aint a gifted boxer and beat Dawson and Clev is a better boxer than Pascal hence why I believe Clev could beat Dawson. I truely expected bellew to fold mate. I expected him to blow out his arse from 9 rounds and get ko'd. It didn't happen and the lad shocked me with his sheer determination. I was wrong :-( :good
bellew lost a close decision and gained a few more fans and a fair bit of respect with his boxing skills and gracious attitude in defeat just wish more fans were like him
If a division is weak and it's only top fighters are a 46 year old who is looking to retire, a guy who blows out his arse after 6 rounds and a guy who lossed to the guy who blows after 6 rounds. There are like 4 good fighters. Shumenov is decent but very green imo. Clev will beat him handily imo and so would Bellew. Cloud is the only fighter who really makes me ponder. B-Hop obviously but if he aint fighting again why worry?
Never said it was. I am merely stating that Bellew rushed in (from my seats it looked like he smashed Clev in the face clean, dont look so bad on film). The low blows weren't exactly Cox v Siad were they?
He didn't rush in at all, He put head inside the gloves maybe a bit rougher then normal but the lowblows were worse a lot worse and tbh one was as bad as Cox ones against Sai.
Like I say, I don't rate your analysis of Clev-Dawson. You can use that line of thinking for all kinds of fights. Aaron Pryor was better than Esteban Dejesus who beat Roberto Duran therefore Pryor beats Duran, well no, I don't agree with that. I think Duran beats Pryor personally. You're over looking many things. ut we shall see. Cleverley is world class for me so I'll just leave it at that.
I never for once said Bellew was bad for being dirty just said it wernt just clev. Clev went to the body more than usual and obviously strayed low. Out of order yes, as bad as cox no. It was just a rough fight but not as to say clev won by being dirty. Clev was the better boxer and that was the difference.
If people are gunna get all wound up about low blows and fighting dirty in general then good luck to them being a boxing fan, that could prove quite difficult. **** happens all the time.
