He has completely lost the plot, as you say, since that 2014 interview. And the woman he is with is doing him no favours. I can't see him rediscovering his senses any time soon, if at all.
He's very intelligent and a great athlete but seemingly struggles with life after boxing. He should count his blessings.
I really liked cleverly..he gets slagged off for his opposition...which..you know is kinda warranted..but I'm not gonna slag someone off for voluntarily fight against kovalev .... Seemed a really nice kid..none criticism I had of him is he seemed to think he was a bigger puncher than he was and started trying to sir down on his punches more rather than boxing n trying to go to war with people when it wasn't warranted..I remember him being a better boxer on the way up
Yeah thought this mindset let him down against Fonfara, which I thought was quite winnable for him if he'd used his boxing.
Agreed...that's one of the fights I was thinking of..he was far better than finfara but elected to just sit there n play you have a go...I'll have a go...he started doing it back in his domestic days though knocking out local tribesman whose names escape me...but fact is he was a lovely boxer and had alot more to his game....on show in the Oakey fight....shame really...he's been a world champion which most of us can't say but I feel he couldve been that much better and is at times an object of ridicule on this board...when there's **** all wrong with Clev when he was a boxer..nice guy..looks to have a few problems sadly
this interview is years and years old , think its a few fights before the bellew rematch , that channel has been reuploading any old interviews for months , clevs shot to bits ! or clev the g should i say haha
