It doesn't matter if this guy hasn't fought stiff competition yet, even though Turner can be regarded as durable opponent. Quite simply, Gorman passes the eye test. The only question marks are over his performance level over 10+ rounds and whether he can take a punch. On the latter, I'm sure he can, as a descendant of the Gorman gypsy clan.

Nathan Gorman moves like a Middleweight and that's no exaggeration. His balance, his punch repertoire, his footwork, movement and speed. And brutal power. Hrgovic couldn't put a dent into Turner and Gorman just made mincemeat out of him.

Gorman is everything Andy Ruiz tries to be. All these chubby HWs. Nick Webb, Turner... They all think that because it's the HW division they can come into fights discernibly out of shape with excess body fat and average-to-below-average muscle mass. Difference is that Gorman is an athletic beast and it defies physiological science. This guy is unreal, I'm still blown away by his performance last night.

Like I said, the only question mark is whether he can pull it off over 10-12 rounds. I have so much faith in this guy from what I've seen so far, I'd back him to beat the bricks out of Dillian Whyte if they fought next month.

It's just a shame he's with that rat turd Hatton.

    Hrgovics not a power puncher.

I think both are about equal and I think I have them right next too each other in ranking with making a impact on the division with style favoring Gorman because he's the most well rounded HW and will adapt to pressure fighters.

Gorman is a above average puncher ,who hurts you with speed combos with very hard body shots.

He's still a ways to go for a top 10 spot but he could arguably beat a guy like Miller so? It's up for discussion.

He's just a reminder of the talent right now, his biggest attribute is actual balance which allows him to land punches in positions while setting up the next angle to be at.

Dubois biggest weakness is actual balance of lunging power shots of he misses, which makes this a great fight, they will fight eventually.

And you'll still get ppl claiming there's only 2 fighters at HW! Lol

I never heard of Gorman until this fight.

He does indeed move well. Fast hands. Protects his chin well. Interesting fighter.

His biggest problem, as I see it, is that his entire posture seems based around throwing his right hand.
With speed like that, he should have a deadly hook, but he doesn't throw the hook properly because he's always shifting forward for the right. A proper hook is thrown off the BACK foot, with your core twisting heavily. Gorman doesn't do this.

He could also use a better jab.

If he can fix that, then he becomes a much more dangerous guy. I'll be keeping an eye on him, for sure. Right now, though, he's terribly one-dimensional.

think he is the grandson of bratley gorman (quiet a famous fighter)
Looks like he needs to be in better shape, doesnt look that tall either, if he was dedicated I'd say he could make cruiser. Looks a serious prospect

Only thing scarier than Gorman's power is Gorman's receding hairline, lmao.

No, Gorman doesn't pass the eye test. His style will get him nowhere at heavyweight. Heres the thing with Gorman, he's listed as 6'3, but he's only 6'1. Gorman is a very good out boxer and counter puncher, give credit where credit is due, hes got skills, but unfortunately for Gorman, most world stage heavyweights will tower over him in height and reach, and unlike Povetkin, Ruiz or Takam, im yet to see anything from Gorman that says hes a good infighting pressure fighter who can bob and weave his way on the inside against these big guys. First good tall out boxer Gorman faces, he will have his head jabbed off with no answer. Should get off the Ricky Hatton diet and campaign at Cruiserweight, his size/style will be much better suited there.

I totally disagree, I think Gorman is going way beyond British level. You have to remember he is 21. A chubby kid. He will make physical improvements and get stronger with age. He’s the most naturally gifted young HW around for me, no one puts the punches together as naturally as he does.

I like his punch selection, he has good hand speed too. If you just rush him he will light you up but I think if you have a good jab, tell me what it is he can do with that body?

I think he beats Dubois, I would make him favourite against Joyce but that’s a closer fight.

I'll tell you what else is a physiological mystery; how a 23 year old manages to look as old as Luis Ortiz.....
