The bookies currently have Wardley a 1/5 favourite but I see it closer than that. If pushed i’d probably pick Wardley via KO but if Gorman actually trains hard and doesn’t come in like a mega blob he has a great chance.
Incredible to think that Gorman is 26 and a professional sportsman, he's never getting over the beating he took from Dubois.
If Gorman gets himself into shape I think he’ll win by stoppage. Wardley got caught by Lartey and Molina which were clearly fixed fights. Wardley is the better athlete so is probably better suited for 12 rounds but he has his hands low meaning he’ll more than likely get caught. Dave Allen has been vocal saying he wants the winner, which is bizarre considering he has been in 4 round fights recently.
Interesting. I actually think this is an intriguing matchup, as I've literally no idea what to make of Wardley, and I'm not sure Gorman really "wants" to be a fighter, although having said that, I like him, and will be pulling for him on fight night.
One of the most entitled pricks in the game, he's done nothing and thinks he's owed big fights on big platforms.
IF Gorman actually trains hard and doesn’t come to the ring looking like the Mitchelin Man, I think he will outbox and possibly stop Wardley late.
Gorman hasnt trained properly and has been largely inactive against a low level of opposition since the Dubois loss. Wardley has the money and promotional push behind him and is at least in shape. I think Gorman gets hit and stays down. Just like Wardley's last 4 opponents. I see Gorman is spreading a load of old tosh about him being in the best shape ever and this being the best ever version of himself. He said the same thing for his last 2 fights and was still grossly overweight.
Ye the Gorman pre Dubois fight has gone now, that Gorman I would of picked to beat Wardley. Not sure who's training Nathan too,, wasn't it his old amateur trainer who trained him after ddd? He needs to get himself back in with a good trainer and get his weight sorted but im afraid that if he gets beat by Wardley we may not see him again.
