Give the fans what they want Frank. Gorman wants it too. Or is Dubois going to quack quack? This content is protected
Dubois WILL duck the fight imo. But that means Callum Johnson or Buatsi will duck too when that fight doesnt happen. Can't have double standards.
Johnson is at a different stage in his career. If he pulls out you can’t blame him. If busts does then it would be a duck.
Only reason Johnson wouldnt take the fight is if he thinks he will lose Johnson has not proven to be above British level yet.
Ian there that much difference between the two at this stage of their career than there was between Degale and Groves?
i agree with Frank, it's total lunacy to order two domestic heavyweights to fight for the domestic title, i mean, it makes no sense, what were they thinking?
Yes but Frank's up against it with the amount of PPV stars he has. He desperately needs to build some, if he loses the BT deal, he is finished.
I watched Kugan's interview with Hatton a couple of days ago and he said then that Frank had put the blocks on it. Unfortunately, they're all too caught up in this idea that if you lose your 0 then you can't come again as a fighter. Will be interesting to see how Frank handles it. I'd expect Hughie to drop the belt, but then which of Frank's fighters will be given the opportunity to fight for the vacant title? Likely Dubois given all the publicity Frank tries to give him... So what for Gorman then? He would surely be very p*ssed off !
Frank needs to get busy in his Frankenstein lab and meld the two together. Think of how a superbly conditioned, skilful and fluently moving Nathiel Gormois could rapidly take over the division.
joshua is the only PPV star hearn has, hardly matters though when he just sticks whatever he wants on PPV
So often when Frank has spoken about the domestic LHW scene & opponents for Yarde he's given the big one about how he puts his fighters in with one another (most recently around the time of Davies-Catterall) & asks why don't matchroom put in Buatsi / Buglioni / Burton with one another. Looks a bit silly now. When he came out the other week & said Gorman-Dubois was a ppv fight down the line it was never gonna happen any time soon.
Interview on Boxing Social posted this morning, apparently he said something like the BBBofC are not match makers, he will do the fight later down the line for more money, I'm not letting it happen.. that sort of stuff. Basically FW moving the goal posts again, it seems to me these issues are only relevant and important when they are his fighters involved. Yarde "won't be rushed" so it's middleweight after middleweight for Yarde. Only a few weeks ago FW said Dubois and Gorman can fight in from of 30-40 thousand apparently by the end of next year. FW is in America I believe and obviously heavily involved but they can't sell out 20 thousand for Wilder Vs Fury. But he is selling 30-40 thousand for Dubois Vs Gorman? I don't believe that fight would sell out the O2 without a very solid undercard. Anyway, Dubois Vs Gorman isn't happening any time soon.
