Apparently signed with Queensbury, not really seen him before, the James Beech win is solid. He is due to fight Raza Hamza for the British Featherweight. Certainly some interesting in-house fights for him. What's he like?
He's good, quite slick outside fighter with decent fundamentals. Wants a fight with Nick Ball, not sure how that would go to be honest as Ball looks the goods
His level is just below the British title. Maybe he can develop in a positive direction. Let's hope so !
Very good signing. Let’s see if they make the matchup with Dennis McCann. Will they be doing shows in Scotland with Collins headlining ? Queensberry don’t really have any Scottish fighters.
I would be surprised if QP haven’t bought the rights for the fight off Kynoch as part of the deal. I wouldn’t imagine they will put it on in Scotland, but it will be interesting to see what the plan is going to be.
I met Nathaniel Collins back when he was an amateur. Really good kid, proper sound. Hope he keeps improving and climbs the rankings. Pro career going really well thus far.
Collins against Raza Hamza on Saturday, not sure how we can watch it. After that I presume he’ll fight on TNT Sports. Maybe we’ll see Collins against Dennis McCann at the end of the year ? Not seen you around for a while mate. How are things going ?
Genuinely bored senseless with boxing. So given it all a swerve for a while. Conor Benn now saying despite his team proving it was never in his system, that his new team have proved it was food contamination. We can't even get a dross heavyweight fight between AJ and Whyte on. Anything Fury related. Any UK card atm is a next gen from every promoter So just thought I'd stop watching for a bit. Totally bored of all the dross.
Queensberry’s output this year has been a bit disappointing. I enjoyed Beterbiev vs Yarde and looked forward to Joyce vs Zyang, although disappointed that Joyce lost. Matchroom had quite a strong start to year with Lara vs Wood and some strong cards in April/May. Boxxer cards have been a bit underwhelming. Keeping hoping for a strong finish to the year for all, with hopefully that heavyweight tournament in Saudi. It would be historic if the Saudi’s can pull off putting it together, which personally I think they will.
I’m looking forward to seeing Collins. I’ve never seen him before and hadn’t heard of him much until he was mandated to fight Ball. All I heard after that was that he was decent and a lot of comments on Twitter of Ball ducking. I’m interested to see if he is as good as he is being made out to be.
Saudi is a good part of the issue though. They've distorted the market so heavily. That basically all heavyweight fights are unviable unless their putting them on. So we might get 1 good night. It has killed the rest
