His defence is mainly **** because he throws a lot of punches but he doesn't always transition particularly well. There is a fair bit of leaning and overbalancing to throw shots. Plus he does get square on throwing combinations.

 

I like him, even though he looks like a bender with the bandana on.

Got a decent jab and a really good right hand.... but like you say he needs much more discipline if he's gonna do well long term.

I think he gets the job done tonight, but as Jim Watt says I'd perhaps hold him back from the likes of Pascal for a while.

 

Braehmar is not that good. Clev could probably beat him IMO.

 

If Clev boxes "Cleverly" behind a jab then yeah. But Braehmer loves a tear up and can punch a bit, definitely a bigger hitter than Clev. If they do start trading Clev will get hurt

 

Murat's coming at Cleverly, working the body to slow him down. If he has held his own in sparring with the likes of Kessler, then he should be a cut above the opponents Cleverly is used to.

 

He'd not really hold his own with Kessler if Kessler was trying. It was clear Kessler was pissing around.

Murat doesn't do enough. He thinks he has more power than in he does in reality by relying on Abraham tactics.

 

It is just a pun the Sky crew can use. And it is catchy for posters etc...

Well we (the British boxing fans) have seen a fair bit of Cleverly and I havent seen any adjustments he has made in his game to show intelligence.

 

He is athletic and can mix it up a bit, he also has a maths degree. This sounds the perfect formula. I will reserve judgment like Nathan would, being as smart as he is.

 

Maybe cus I got a 2:1 in Mathematical Sciences when degrees were that little bit harder. :hey Then I mopped up a PgDip and got a MSc in Mathematical Finance from pucca Brum Uni :nut Lets see Cleverly do a couple of the 100 series actuarial papers :scaredas:. But Cleverly is much better boxer than I will ever be so kudos to him for that.
