Titles like national titles, the European or Commonwealth title. What do they mean? did their worth diminish over time? What are they worth to you know?

Don't know totally, but Ray Leonard was NABF champ, Thomas Hearns USBA champ, Ray Mancini NABF champ, and even Ali was NABF champ for awhile, so their is some credibility, but in this day and age, when everything and everybody has a champion, maybe that credibility has gone to crap.

Back in the day in Australia they were really worth something. You were pretty much already a world champion in a lot of people's eyes when you held that strap over your head. You were the best in the country, these days the Australian champ is almost never the best in their respective division.

They still are important...but the flood of regional titles that guarantee a ranking with a world body has seen the significance diminish.

Holding a Commonwealth championship 30-40 years ago in the age of one or two titles was also very significant..On par with holding a trinket today IMO.

Back in the old days when there was only one belt, the british, commenwelth and european titles ment alot, you had to be good to hold one of them back then
