Through talent, mindset, or perhaps for the love of the sport...Who in your opinion were the fighters who seemed to excel 'naturally' in boxing...? Ray Arcel once said that everything came instinctively for Roberto Duran...
Emile Griffith. Just a few fights into his pro career, he looked like he already had all his tools working 'n sinc.
Roberto Duran is the first to come to mind here. He was born to fight in every way. I will say that I don't remember seeing a superstar fighter (or really any fighter for that matter) who loves fighting as much as Pacquiao.
Rocky was just about tougher than anyone....but a natural ? No way...Goldman manufactured him from almost the ground up...They say Rocky looked awful starting out.
Rocky had literlly everything you need to be a success from the get-go aside from boxing ability. That's as rare as someone with God-given ability in my view. He didn't have to be taught pain-management, durability, he was as strong s an ox from the word go, aggressive as he would ever be, a natural winner, threw mean with everything he had. They taught Rocky less than they taught most men in my view.
People say they used to laugh at Rocky's awkward stance and they tore him down and rebuilt him...but left the Suzie Q right where it was.
