i am a vegetarian too and my weight has even gone up to almost 190, now i'm back to 180 (184cm height).
Im 6'1ish and 158 I got broad shoulders but just a low bodyfat %. Im still not fully grown though I guess.
whatever the minimum weight a fighter can get down to for the weigh in without excessive weight draining is his natural weight.
bing-AYE-OHHH it's not forcing your body to a lower wieght division so you will have a hieght and wieght advantage (wieght meaning when you rehydrate after the wiegh in). and it's not musclebounding yourself by lifting wieghts disproportionly. lets take somone who is 5'10 and lets say...170 pounds. not big but not small either. if this guy trains and get down to work he can get to 160 or 154. this would be his natural or fighting wieght. if he forced his body to 147 by not eating or not drinking then he is now forcing his body into a different wieght class thus meaning he is now not nturally suppose to be at that wieght. then this guy decides to go to light-heavy. which he can easily make by eating just a bit more or/and using wieghts (bodybuilder stylee) this is natural but he would have about 15% or 20% body fat...which is alright for a walking wieght but for a fighter walking wieght has no advantage. the guy decides he cant be ****ed to train or diet so he eats whatever he damn well chooses. he gets to 200 pounds. now he is over his natural or fighting limit 2 times over...he is pudgy fat and wont be good in the ring. this doesnt have to do anything with muscleture. as someone like robin reid is a very solid very well trim supermiddlewieght, but being 5'9 is just the way he is. i would consider this his fightign wieght even though he is small, paul vaden is a 6'2 light middlewieght. he has skinny legs but a decent size upperbody. he may be tall and seem disproprtiontly light...but he makes the wieght...at middlewieght he was flabby and slightly out of shape. enzo maccarinelli is a 6'4 cruiserwieght who walks around at about 195 or somthing. training is just for him to be in shape and sharp. he could make light heavy if he really pulled the dieting and draining strings but he doesnt need to he is a big strong guy no need. sorry bit long but just giving a few examples...i always felt it was obvious what it meant :huh
I'm a small guy.. 5'10, about 150lbs.. I smoke and eat a lot of junk food.. I never really gain weight though.. Haven't trained or exercised that much in a while as I'm always working.. I wonder, if I trained hard and ate the right food for weeks, I could be small, but then again, muscle weighs more than fat..
You would be very surprised what you could shave down too if your running and working out regularily. Body type/genes obviously comes into play, but for the most part you would be shocked if you cut out the drinking, junk food, etc and worked out hard. Without seeing you I bet you could easily shave down to 135.
natural weight is the weight at which your body performs at optimum levels for the task at hand (hand to hand combat for 12 rds). Too much weight and you lose speed and probably endurance. Too little weight and you lose power and strength. Finding the weight where speed power and endurance peak for an individual is finding the perfect natural weight.
