hey recently i started sparring and after like two or three rounds i get so exhausted i feel like puking. i dont eat 2-3 hours before training so its definitely not that, did this ever happen to you guys when you started sparring?
If I don't eat that long before workout I will have energy problems, but then again if you get cramps from eating later that's preferable. Nausea could be caused by lactic acid buildup. Try to stay calm and think about getting oxygen in, otherwise your anaerobic system will instead be taxed until it fails. You could check to see if you can replicate it by holding your breath and punching the heavy bag, just for shits and giggles
You should be eating a small meal about an hour before you train. That emptiness coupled with fatigue is making you naseous.
Anytime i push myself over the top physically i get sick to my stomach and feel like i gotta take a dump. Lets me know im training right.
Your problem is when your sparring your pushing your body to do the best you can but because you havent ate in few hours your body is empty hence nausea take the above advice and eat light an hour before.
I wouldn't recommend that, you might upchuck. It takes hours for your body to metabolize food. If you eat before you practice eat 3-4 hours before then. An hour before practice hydrate. Then go balls out.
Yes, it happened to me when starting. Probably being new, not breathing properly, having tension in the ring. After you learn to relax it should get better. I don't think it has anything to do with food. Keep sparring, monitor your breathing and the tensiion you are holding. If you can hit bags/mitts/etc. without feeling this way, it has to do with breathing and ring tension I think. Good luck
thanks for the tips, i think it might be the tension and breathing but it sure won't help to have a stomach full of puke when this happens so i will stick with both suggestions
Our clubs ring canvas is ****ing filthy. Equal parts blood and puke through the last few years. it really needs to be changed, and soon. But also...if your ring hasn't seen these things, you're probably doing it wrong.
