Round 1

Shafiq is sticking his quick right hand straight down the middle, banging into the underside of Senkovs' wrists as Senkovs plods forward behind a turtle shell. Shafiq drops straight flurries on the body while circling lightly around Senkovs. Nice work by Shafiq jabbing Senkovs' forearms to push him up on the ropes and then digging a right hand under his elbow where it remains tucked over Senkovs' ribs. Hooks and straight rights off the jab by Shafiq, working the guard over and bruising up Senkovs' arms looking for an opening. No offense from Senkovs.

:yep I think it was Curtis who just had a cheeky go at Jamie Moore. The play by play man brought up how Shafiq is a very bright lad and took some time off from his studies to develop his abilities in the ring. Then someone (Woodhouse I think) piped in, "Yeah, Jamie knows about that...you took, what, fifteen years off? "

Jamie laughed amiably, quipping back "I live the old-school (fighters') life"

 

Ceremonies are overrated.

 

Round 2

Shafiq is jabbing over the knuckle pads of Senkovs, scratching him on top of the head. Hooks and long right uppercuts by Shafiq bounce off the arms of Senkovs. A few ponderous jabs stuck out by Senkovs as Shafiq pushes him onto the ropes and flurries with power, but falls in and smothers himself, needing to push off and reset in center ring.
